I don't want him as the Ravens have enough talent on their receiving core (Thank you Oz & company) but apparently Ochocinco wants him back:

Right price right player, so if the price is right, he would be a good pick up. That price would be no where near 7 Million.

Imo we could use him. Theres no way he could act like a diva on a team this good anyway. He isn't worth 7mil obviously, but he could be a good target for flaccco.

Guys, this is the same guy that got mad about his rating in Madden and declared to "boycott" it...

It has no relation to football, but it further provides evidence about his priorities; himself. No thanks, shall we move on?

That would be considered a 7 million dollar bandaid. Wow, no thanks we do not need the distractions he would bring.

Ilive in Washington and it's more a case of Carroll not liking him.
He has been released,so we'd only owe him the veteran minimum; the Seahawks would havde to pick up the difference between that and his 2010 salary. I've made several posts abt him since Ifirst heard abt his release.

Not gonna happen. End of story.

Unless a veteran WR gets injured. Then his chances of making the roster increase. A little bit.

Someone tell me again why we would want 3 starting receivers who are all the exact same type of receiver? That is the main reason I know we'll pass on TJ.

To answer that question yes we should as we have signed him per adam schefters twitter
Ravens reached agreement with former Seahawks wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh on a one-year, $855,000 deal. More at espn.com.

I think its worth the one year deal. Under a million dollars and is better as a number two option.

with Stalls out for at least 6(maybe more, they may know something we don't),it's a good deal, with Boldin and Mason as your primary targets T.J. is a nice third option

This is very surprising!

I'm glad it's the veteran minimum, but also wary because of it. Why was no team willing to give TJ a bigger contract? Not complaining, just curious. He makes our receiving core that much better and provides another big receiver for Joe to get the ball to.

Now, who gets cut for this pick-up?

Boldin, Mason, Houshmandzadeh, Clayton...ok how in the world do teams stop that? All savvy route runners, tough, and catch almost anything. This passing game is going to be unfair...

If the Jets don't sign Revis, do we make this deal? I like it either way, I'm just curious if this was a counter to that...

I'm torn about this.

On one hand, the guy is another target for Flacco and he knows the tendencies of some of his former Bengals teammates, even though the offense and defense has dramatically changed in the year since he's left Cincinnati. On the other hand, I'm concerned that he might not show 100% effort on the field, especially when the team will inevitably hit adversity as every team does. The guy is already getting paid a king's ransom with the money that the Seahawks are on the hook for, so his pay won't be a concern for this season...but that still doesn't account for his temper.

The guy has a history of losing his cool, and though he has yet to do it at a moment that's cost his team, I'm almost concerned it's a ticking time-bomb. In any event, I'm glad it's only a one-year deal and at little financial cost to the Ravens, so the team can cut him at a moment's notice if he makes just one mistake.
