Fantasy Advice

10 posts in this topic

I don't think i have a strong WR presence, looking for some assistance in picking my starters for WR/RB, WR, and WR slots. Also any comments would be great, haven't done a fantasy team in a few years.

Starters:

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Cedric Benson
RB/WR: Brandon Jacobs
WR: Wes Welker
WR: Michael Crabtree
TE: Jermaine Grisham
DST: Ravens (had to trade DURING the draft to get this)
K: Ryan Longwell

Bench:
QB: Chad Henne
RB: Willis McGahee
WR: Johnny Knox
WR: Mike Sims-Walker
WR: Laurent Robinson (had stallworth but dropped him after injury
DST: Chargers

I strongly recommend you drop the Chargers D/ST for Mike Williams. Having multiple DEFs is simply a waste of a roster spot.

Ditto.

If your're willing to trade to get a top D, there is no reason you should be carrying two defenses. If you are worried about a bad matchup with the Ravens one week, pick some one off the waiver wire for that week.

I think you're fine. I'd do something about Brandon Jacobs though. Try to package him and Walker for a better RB. Heck, I have Haleem Nicks starting in one league. Although Andre Johnson is on my team as well lol.

If Danny Amendola is available and you're in a PPR with kick return points, you better pick him up.

Amendola is actually Bradford's check-down/favorite target. He's like Wes Welker cause he's going to get a lot of receptions.

From the scouting reports, he's clearly the best receiver in St. Louis, and is currently the WR#2 after Donnie Avery's injury.

Robinson might look good, but he's going have to face the #1 cornerbacks.

Also, Amendola is a beast in kick/punt returns. He has already struck against the Vikings in preseason, and is looking for more.

Even though I hyping about this guy, I haven't picked him up from the waivers because my roster has too many good names to drop to the waiver.

I'll be waiting to see what Amendola can do against the 2nd string Ravens D.

Don't you hate that? In the Romo's ESPN league I am still lacking a kicker, because I can't get myself to drop anyone.

Seriously who should I drop for a kicker? Malcom Floyd, Jeremy Maclin or Santana Moss? Nobody has bitten the two players for one guy trade.

After some changes around the league and injury reports, i am not 100% on my 3 starters (RB/WR, WR, and WR). Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if jacobs is starting, there seems to be some news about Brad getting the start.

Current Starters:
RB/WR: Brandon Jacobs
WR: Wes Welker
WR: Michael Crabtree

On the Bench:
WR: Johnny Knox
WR: Mike Sims-Walker
WR: Laurent Robinson
WR: Mike Williams (TB)

Anybody else think i should bench Jacobs and pull up Sims-Walker? Jacksonville plays the broncos week one, and i don't think they have the best DB's in the league. Might see some good production out of Sims-Walker.

Knox, Robinson, and Williams all intrigue me, a LOT. Just not sure who is going to have the better week.

I'm totally up in the air as far as Welker. Not sure if i should even start him or not.
Crabtree should be solid, i hope. Seahawks have some nice CB's, less Josh of course ;)

I'd start Knox or Williams over Jacobs. The Bears play Detroit and TB plays the Brownies so both should have big games.
