Practice Squad 8 Men

So what 8 men would you put on the practice squad? After looking a 53 line up by different people who would be you choice??
I do have a question what are the rules for practice squad , i know it's 8 .

Prince Miller,Eron Riley, Curtis Steele,Davon Drew, Travis Fisher, Harper
David Reed and Ramon Harwood
Unless we don't keep some of these guys i think they sound go and wait.What do you think? i know some have Harwood and fisher on the 53 but really?? i would think they could learn more and if we need them do to injury than call them up but they wouldn't be on my 53 not yet.

Two things, Fisher is not eligible and Cox has to make the roster or we have no long snapper.

They might try and put Steele on the practice squad, but he probably won't make it there.

Here are some practice squad rules - taken from Wikipedia (which cited the Collective Bargaining Agreement).

The good news is, if Mattison goes onto the practice squad this year. It's the last year he can be on it. So either he has to be on the roster next year, or he has to go.

hes only on the team because of his father. the guy just looks lost when he plays. hopefully he will play well tonite and make me eat crow but really i dont see that happening.

PU i agree with your list with the exception of steele that he will make the PS. Harper or Riley will be gone after tonite.

I can see it happening. Harper would be the odd man out.

It makes me sad to think that he will be gone but im pretty sure hes odd man out because riley is coachs fav.

I think this would be Erron Riley last trip if he get to the practice squad if 3 yrs is limit.

How about Jason Phillips? Think he'll make the roster with our deep linebacker corps? If not I'd love to have him on the PS. I think he's too good to have him cut.

I'm not certain if he eligible for the PS.

It's going to be close for Philips. It'll be interesting to see when Philips is playing tonight.

If we kept him it wouldn't surprise me. If we cut him, it wouldn't either. But if we did cut him, he isn't going to make it to the practice squad. Some team will pick him up.

Yep. This is Harper's third year trying to make the team while Riley is on his second. Riley could still be on the PS for another two years (including this year).

That's a definite. I know we can't keep them all but I know it'll be a very tough decision with Phillips. He's got that Ray Lewis work ethic. Play hard and tough.

I'd like to hope that Steele could land on the practice squad. Pending a monster game tonight, he isn't going to make the 53 man roster. But, if we could somehow hold onto him this year, all he needs to do is put some muscle on that lanky frame of his.

Phillips was on IR all last year, right? I don't think he's eligible anymore. Even if he was, I think someone would claim him before he cleared waivers.

Steele could make the PS. But teams always look at other teams strengths and wait for their cuts. Our depth strength is at LB and RB. So any guy we may cut from these two buckets might be picked up by another team.

this is probally my least favorite time of the year because we always loose someone i felt we should have kept.
