Recieved CB Josh Wilson for a conditional 5th round, could be 4th depending how many games he plays. Hopefully this will make our secondary better which showed major weakness vs. McNabb.

Tackles 116
Sacks 2.0
INTs 6

Nice stats, better then T. Fischer.

Hopefully he will be what Washington would have been this year, a quailty number 3 or possibly a number 2.

That sounds like a pretty good deal. Just got the notice a moment ago from Schefter.

Shore up that secondary! Dallas bound baby.

I can honestly say that I did not see any sort of trade for CB coming. I really thought we were good with Fab, Webb, Carr, Williams etc....

Here are Wilson's stats from last year alone:

Games started: 12, Total tackles: 41, Combined tackles: 45, Sacks: 1, Passes deflected: 13, Interceptions: 2, Int. yards: 126, Int TDs: 2.

Not bad. I wonder why the Seahawks only asked for a conditional 4th pick? Even if he costs us a 4th, that sounds like we got a good deal...and his only two interceptions both went for long touchdowns? Ozzie worked his magic.

Interesting, that adds some much needed corner depth. Wish we would have picked up Fred Bennett and not gave up a pick but hey all well.

Well, I'm happy. I'm happy because the Seattle fans don't seem happy :)

Best part is we didin't have to trade any of our players like McGahee, Barnes, etc.
[/quote]
Exactly. Everyone kept saying the only way we could trade for a good CB is by trading a PLAYER. But I knew it wasn't the case.

Great move!

It never fails, just sit back and watch our FO do the work - they're a lot smarter and craftier than we are. Wilson is a great, young DB with a load of talent and potential. He's had a strong preseason this year, too.

That's funny to read. The only thing I don't like about Wilson from what you can read in the stats is that he is listed on NFL.com at only 5'9".

He's had an up and down career in Seattle but he's an experienced starter and adds value as a kick-returner. Solid trade.

The guy is a 82 in Madden ... Give Ozzie a raise and make this guy a starter, this could be the best offseason move by us.

Ya seahawks forums are furious about the trade, he doesn't seem to be bad at returning kicks either

"Wilson has also averaged 25 yards on 94 kick returns with one touchdown."

Seahawks fans are upset and confused. Here's a quote from one of them:

"Wow.... if we had to trade Wilson, all we could get was a fifth, and that from the CB desperate Ravens? I think we got straight shafted on this one...."

Haha.

Except more experience and better stats....just saying.

Edit - I love Webb, don't misread what I was saying above.
