I know Mercer is his hometown, I live right next to Mercer. With the money the man has, it's not ridiculous for him to catch a flight back home at least once a year. No matter where he lives now, it's not where he grew up, and it's not like he hated where he grew up.
I suppose so, although I've never really heard of Trent saying too many positive things about Mercer. :P Where at near Mercer are you at? I live in Pittsburgh (yay for Ravens fans in Western PA!)

From everything I've ever heard (I'm not a NiN fan at all), Trent never said he had a bad childhood, or didn't like where he grew up, just the usual bit that everyone who's grown up in this area says: it's boring. I know a few people who know his sister, I believe, but I've never had the desire to go meet or see the man myself.

I actually live in Sharon, the home of the original QS&L. Well, not in Sharon, but more people have heard of Sharon than my town and they're literally next to each other.

Currently playing:
Maylene & The Sons of Disaster
Insomnium
Alestrom
Ill Nino
System of a Down (gotta get myself ready for their upcoming tour)

Which is why I was surprised he'd go to Mercer for NYE, is all.
But enough about that. :)

Reminds me of Arcade Fire's new album, The Suburbs. It talks about the doldrums that is a suburban town and how taht affects the youth who live there.

the most common answer to that is August Burns Red because they've toured with them a bunch, but you would probably be able to answer that question better than I, so you tell me lol... here's there first song off the album they made a music video for:

Cool song! I raelly like the instrumentals. They're an edgier version of August Burns Red. I had difficulty understanding the singer's voice though! ^_^

yeah... little more singing/little less screaming would be nice IMO, but hey, everyone has their own style of music they like

Just burned two more CDs for the car:

Amon Amarth: Twilight of the Thunder God

Dethklok: Dethalbum II

I've been on a huge melodic death metal kick the last week or so.

Does anyone remember Papa Roach's Last Resort? It's a classic!
yup, one of my favorite bands. saw them numerous times in concert. idk how much you've listened to them after that album, but getting away with murder, and the paramour sessions are considered to be very good also. i love all their albums including the most recent, metamorphosis, and time for annihilation.

many people say that their two most recent isnt "papa roach material", and they are going for more "on the radio" type of music. but i still think they are good.
