Whats On Your Playlist?

221 posts in this topic

Its a boring night. And i'm listening to some tunes, so why not a music thread?? I'm currently hooked on We Came As Romans (post-hardcore) their album "To Plant A Seed" is constantly playing on my iPod. Also, the remix of the Antoine Dodson interview "Bed Intruder" is so addicting! So, what are you listening to?

My music is all over the place. I currently have Eminem, Drake, Boys Like Girls, Fall out boy, BOB, Travis McCoy, Bruno Mars, Mike Posner, We The Kings, Yellowcard, New Kids on the Block, Flo Rida, and Tyler Ward. If you don't know who he is, he makes the best cover out of a pretty nice song RIGHT HERE with one of the best drummers in youtube. Watch some of other cobus' drum covers. He's terrific.

BTW, the only reason I got those Boys Like Girls and Fall out boy stuff right there is because we play them a lot in our 'band'.

I wanted to like Mike Posner's album, but the only songs I found myself listening to beyond three or four listens were "Cooler Than Me" and "Bow Chicka Wow Wow." I was disappointed. He had potential, but it sounds like he's one of those singers that's more reliant on the producers and songwriters than their own talent.

Bruno Mars is hit-or-miss with me. He's a talented guy, but some of his ballads aren't for me. His pop stuff isn't as good as I thought it'd be.

Yes, I've listened to some of his stuff. He has some of the most amazing covers out there. I personally like his "Dirty Pop" cover x)

He absolutely killed Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' Face Down. He was sick there. It was an perfect cover, but what was so good was all the fills he added in. He made a pretty good drummed song way better.

well for me, right now I am listening to Rodney Atkins' new one "Farmer's Daughter" which is a good song and I also listen to Blake Shelton's new one "It's All About Tonight."

Now for an actual playlist I only have one and that list is filled with all WWE Theme Songs on it.

My music taste is about as wide as it gets. I'm currently addicted to Aesop Rock (underground rap), Kid Cudi (rap/hip-hop), Giacomo Puccini (composer), Joshua Redman (tenor saxophonist), Up Cane Creek (my Uncle's bluegrass band), Rise Against (alternative rock), Alice In Chains (grunge; before Stayley's death), William DeVaughn (r&B), The Temptations (soul/disco/R&B/etc.), Frank Sinatra (singer), The Chemical Brothers (experimental), Kenny Muhammad (prolific beatboxer), Louis Prima (Singer), etc. The list goes on, but I'm lazy. I hope this list entertains you for a while.

I actually like that new song I heard on the radio by him. I'm actually singing it for a friend during her 18th birthday party, while changing a few lyrics to make it less romantic and awkward.

Lately, I've had Reverend Horton Heat's "It's Martini Time" and Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed A Dream" on my mind. An unusual mix, I know, but it works for me.

Nick Cave is always a favorite of mine, he has a new album coming out with his side-project Grinderman.

There's also an actual music video, but it's NSFW

Another song that comes to my mind as of late is Mike Brady's "One Day In September", about that annual event on the Aussie sports calendar - the Grand Final. Such a majestic song, and I feel so good when I hear it.

Hey, now there's some names I recognize. Must be getting old!

Was going to throw Patsy Klein out there for the hell of it but thought everyone wouldn't take it as a joke, and never converse with me again! lol
