Bills

They might be putting up a lot of points in preseason but they aren't fooling me.

I 2nd the vote that they will probably be the worst team in the league. They are going to lose the battle in the trenches, they have no QB and they are in a competitive division this year.

I love the Bills franchise, but I wish they would make some better personnel decision.

I drafted CJ Spiller with a late-round pick in FF so I hope he does well. The Bills have looked good in preseason but, like people have said, that could change come the real season.. They're a good sleeper team, though, very underrated.

IDK, they have to play the Pats x2, Jets x2, Dolphins x2, GB, Ravens, Bengals, Steelers

That's at least 10 losses. Sure they might win some of these, but they'll lose some of the lesser games as well.

If they aren't drafting in the Top 3 next year I'll be shocked.

They are missing so much when it comes to the crucial positions in Football, no QB, no LT and they don't have a good defense and add that they are taking a bunch of 4-3 guys and trying to get them to play in the 3-4 makes it worse. The Bills will be selecting their LT or Franchise QB in next year's draft.

As long as Fred Jackson and Lee Evans perform well, I'll be happy.

I always feel bad for underrated guys on bad teams. If Lee Evans ever got to play with Kurt Warner, Manning or Brady, he would be stellar.

But he goes out there and does his job without complaining for the most part.

Agreed. He's the Steven Jackson of WRs.

I hope they do well also the lions too feel. Bad

I think the Lions are the real sleeper team. I can see them winning 7 games this year...which I would call a success for them.

Jake Locker in a Bills uniform? I could dig it.

The Bills could be mediocre, but that's as good as they'll probably get.

They have - arguably - the worst QB situation in the NFL. Trent Edwards looks like he's got the starters job over Fitzpatrick. Doesn't really matter since whoever is under center will be on his back 80% of the time. They have no Left tackle, no right tackle and can only hope that Levitre and Wood play well. Other than Lee Evans they don't really have a receiver to speak of: James Hardy? Steve Johnson? Marcus Easley?

On D they have the stellar Jairus Byrd, assuming his rookie season wasn't a fluke. Even then, he's likely to miss the first 1-2 games with a groin injury. As previously said - aside from Dwan Edwards - they're cramming 4-3 personnel into a 3-4. Stround has to move out to end and Williams now has to learn how to play nose. Personally, I didn't really like the Troup pick. They have to hope Davis/Mitchell can play well at ILB next to Posluszny and that the secondary can continue to excel. Last year's first rounder - Aaron Maybin - has to step it up. He has a monster first step and has the build of a speed rush 3-4 OLB.

Yeah I think that is what truly will hurt them. They should grab Locker or a LT in the first next year but someone they should be looking at to help them transition better would be Marcell Dareus out of Alabama. Since he is a DE in Bama's 3-4 and the Bills play the 3-4 he would make a great pick for them to help build their 3-4 defense. What surprised me was for as much as Dan Williams fell in the 1st is that they didn't trade back up to get him. Williams is a pure NT and for Arizona to get him at 26 without another team trading up to get him still amazes me. Buffalo would have been better served trading up to getting him so they have a NT in their 3-4.

I think at the end of the year, Buffalo should trade their 4-3 players of**** that don't fit the 3-4 and just get draft picks, and do what The Browns did, clean house and build through the draft. Stroud would be a great fit for a team like the Texans who need DT help, and is a contender, but the problem with trading their 4-3 guys off is that half the league runs a 3-4 so there's not much luck there. That's just my opinion and what I'll do when I play as the Bills in Franchise, is just trade off guys who don't fit and build through the draft.

I mean, I'm not saying the Bills are a lock to be a good team, but they have an outside chance and they are a sleeper team.

On offense, they have a young offensive line just entering their prime (average age of 27.2 years), an outstanding stable of young running backs, and a great receiver. The QB might not be great, but who says you need a QB to win games? We didn't have one for a long time. (And yes I realize our defense was much better than theirs, not arguing that)

Which leads me to their defense. I think they're pretty solid, looking at last years statistics, they were actually 9th in the NFL in terms of yards allowed per play (we were 3rd). They weren't as good on scoring defense, more middle of the pack, but they should improve. Everyone knows about their great secondary full of playmakers. They have an underrated linebacking core and a decent defensive line after adding our boy, Dwan Edwards.

Their special teams is one of the best in the NFL, Brian Moorman practically lives at the Pro Bowl. They are a very good ST unit.

All that said, they have to do it on the field. They aren't as bad as people think, though.
