What Did Mase Do?

Unless he was cussing the refs out or giving them the finger or something crazy, he was probably appealing for a call, which the NFL has said they are cracking down on this season.

Mason gets pretty vocal with the refs. I remember during a game last season he was yelling at a ref so loud that the ref's mic picked up what he was saying, and you could hear it through the tv's broadcast.

Doesn't he do this like 3-4 times a year? You'd think a man of his age would know better.

At least his energy for the game is still there!

meh, he puts up 1000 yard seasons, minus 45-60 tops for unsportsmanlike conduct, so we still net atleast 940 yards out of Boldin, which was more than our entire offense could put together before Ray Rice.

People need to get off o**** this guys back. It shows that even this late in his career, he still has that fire and passion for the game. It shows me that he's still going out there and giving it %100 on every play.

p.s- why can't i have off and 0f in the same sentence

I thought he'd get called too but it was a thing of beauty nonetheless.

Maybe we'll see more o**** this type of stuf**** this year because of the CBA controversy.
I'm not saying that's what fueled Mason, obviously, but there is even more bad blood between the players and the league this year in particular.
We could see more players with the CBA in the back of their mind, getting more emotional towards the refs over any little thing.

I don't think that the CBA will fuel players to lash out against the referees more than they already do. That's more of a players vs owners issue.
Who knows? Mase could have berated the same ref in the past, and this time he just decided to call him on it. I'm not going to blame Mason though, any of you out there who play sports and who have a competitive spirit understand that in the heat of battle sometimes emotions run high.
The only thing that I take out of it is that Mason is out there giving all he's got even in a pre-season game. That gives me peace of mind because sometimes vets will have a tendency to not have %100 of their mind in the game if they know it's their last season

Mason disinvited Gene Steratore from his Birthday celebration this year for not giving him a PI call.

Gene had been having sleepless nights thinking of riding the ponies and getting a balloon giraffe from Kelly Gregg in a clown getup.

This brouhaha is gonna get uglier before it gets better.
