Forbes: Ravens 8th Most Valuable NFL Team

20 posts in this topic

Looks like Tagliabue was right, NFL just wont' work in Baltimore.

[quote]The Ravens are the eighth most valuable team in the NFL, up from No. 11 on
last year’s list. Forbes uses measures like stadium deals, team enterprise value (its equity plus debt) and revenue multiples to determine its numbers.

The Ravens were directly ahead of the Chicago Bears ($1.06 billion) and immediately behind the Philadelphia Eagles ($1.17 billion).

Tagliabue severely underestimated the city's passion for football. I feel as that was one of only two or three real black marks on an otherwise great career as NFL commissioner.

That is interesting. It's too bad the Ravens didn't increase in value, though.

Look at it this way, we are the #1 most valuable team in our division and at least, we beat the colts at something.

I assume Tags reads Forbes business journal, I wonder what he thinks when he sees where the jags are rated??

Undoubtedly the Ravens at 8th just solidifies his idea that this is money and support that should have been added to his beloved redskins total

But the Colts value actually increased; the Ravens decreased.

It is nice to be on top of the division though.

Sorry, Fran, but I almost choked when I read that statement! Ask any NFL owner about Tags' "otherwise great career" (hint: last NFLPA agreement) and why he isn't going to follow Pete Rozelle into the Hall of Fame.

Houston is a big market, and Texas is a football market.

I'm surprised at this....

With all the Raven gear I've bought over the years I thought they'd be closer to #5 on
that list.....
