I'm on rookie. I normally sim the first season and start playing games after that so I'm in the second season but first time playing all the games.

Well that didn't last long, playing the Rams in Week 4 and first few plays of my offensive possession(I had 1 Interception and 1 fumble recovered for a TD for my defense) and McNabb got injured and is out for 10 weeks. So now I'm down to John Skelton and my rookie QB who I drafted to be my Franchise QB.

Ive heard the scouting process in Head Coach is about as close as it can be to the real thing in terms of position specific, and player types fitting schemes.

Well the odd thing is Head Coach 09 is everything we want in Madden Franchise Mode, and you would think with it both games being made by the same company all EA would have to do is take the code from HC and apply it to Madden.

Maddens head programmer Iam Cummings was asked that on his twitter, he said there wouldn't be a follow up game and they wouldn't be merged either. It seems like it would be too much of an improvement.

No kidding right...those guys that are on the madden team seem like theyve never played nor watched a down of football in their lives...other than playing madden 04 and running around with Vick like he's ungodly.

The AI is so stupid in the off-season. Especially in the draft! I just did a Franchise where I saw the Lions had the 1st Pick in the Draft and I'm thinking they will take a OL, DL or even CB but since the AI decided to let both the backup QBs walk in Free Agency, the AI decided that the Lions should take a QB with the 1st Pick to be a backup instead of just keeping Hill or Stanton. I also saw the Jets take a RB despite having Shonne Green.

Since the AI is so dumb I have to control all 32 teams to make sure things go the way they should. What things in Franchise Mode have you seen the AI do that was just so stupid?

when you get like really really far in franchise mode, like 10+ seasons, the AI lets 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year players go that are really good. its wierd.

I often use a FAQ for the best players in each draft. Cheating I know, but I love getting the players correct all the time.

I have a pretty good system and nail it about 90% of the time, even in the late rounds. It's just time consuming, but I love doing it.

I drafted Josiah Sarasty for the Panthers, he went up to 98 OVR.

I put my coaching method on 100% passing, simulated the season, and he ended up with over 7000 yards and like 60+ TDs. Absolutely insane.

I drafted a lot of those guys. Sarasty went to the Colts. I'm in 2032 and he's still there.One of the guys I recall drafting is that 6' 1" DE McClendon. Dude was a beast. One of the few that I actually let retire.

I`ve drafted him in one of my previous franchises as well, dude is a beast haha. You can find so many good players using the draft FAQ, I`ve been using it since Madden 09.

Never knew it existed. But now that I've seen it I can confirm that my scouting system works! lol. I don't always go to other teams rosters to see if the "other guy" was any better. Only if I was seriously disappointed, which doesn't usually happen. I've gotten some late round STEALS!

I hope they fix the Draft Import issue. I have been constantly updating my NCAA 11 Roster every day to change under classmen to seniors who are declaring for the 2011 Draft, and so I decided to make a test import and only in Madden can a Guard/Center go 1-2 in the first 2 picks, Andrew Luck can be found in the 4th, Mike Pouncey can be found in the 6th, You can end up with Patrick Peterson and Prince Amumakara on the same team, and well that pretty much sums up how messed up that is. I'm hoping for Madden 12 that we can be allowed to edit the imported draft class to Madden so it can be realistic.

I've never done that. So I guess after the first year it doesn't update Juniors to Seniors and so on? Does that mean the same guys are drafted in 2011 as were drafted in 2010??

BTW - Is Pouncey any good coming out in the 6th (I hear he's every bit as talented as his twin brother)?

I got him and he was a C potential. That is the issue, for the most part you can upload it several times and it will come out random each time. Once someone is a 1st round pick, the next he is a 3rd, etc. It's just so random every time you upload it it's almost senseless to even do a draft import. I'm only doing it because I have a Franchise Mode where I control all 32 teams and I'm going to try to be as accurate as possible with everything.

WOW! THAT is time consuming.

To be honest, the normal/non-import draft should be random too. It's not as fun the second time around when you already know who's awesome and who sucks.

Speaking of Retirement, do you guys buy the extra stuff on the Madden store to keep players for another year. I used it sometimes in Madden 10 to keep players certain players around. This year I'm not sure, I might just use it on Derrick Mason since Mason retires after year 1 and it is likely he'll be playing next season. I also will than use it on Ray to keep him around a little longer lol.

So, I'm in season 2 in my online franchise so I started an offline franchise to kind of copy that one. I was simming season two and I stopped it at the Super Bowl.

in the Super Bowl its us at 12-4! vs the Green Bay Packers..

The teams that made the playoffs are;
Jets
Ravens
Pats
Seahawks
Falcons
Steelers
Eagles

Although its not set up the same. We beat the Pats in conference playoffs, 31-27. Packers win their game.

I know it's just a game, but it came out how I pictured the Super Bowl in the real NFL. I see the Pack making it as well as the Ravens. Just thought it was cool haha.

And we beat the Pack in the Super Bowl - 18-14.

I just did another import after editing the NCAA 11 Rosters to make sure everyone who does comes out is a Senior. I messed with the ratings on players to try to see if I can get anything to stick. I got it working with Nick Fairley where so far I have done 2 imports in 2 different Franchises and he has been top 5 both times. I'm working on adjusting the ratings again. It takes a while to get it to work but it's worth it.

The one thing I hate is paying the players after you draft them. I am doing a 49ers Franchise, and I was drafting 13th and the Dolphins wanted to trade down from 4 and since Patrick Peterson was a top 10 Prospect, I took the deal to get him and he held out on me until I raised the offer to 6 years and $94 Million and he finally signed and came in at a 84 OVR. Best Part was that I drafted Ryan Mallett in the second round.

As you can see it's random but this was after I made sure people who came out did and people who didn't come out stayed. I'm going to mess around with the ratings on NCAA 11 again to see if I get it more better, and make sure people aren't missing from my file, I'm also missing Cam Newton.

I'm in the 3rd year of my 2000 Ravens style franchise, Laron Landry was a FA so I signed him to my already all stared out defense and traded me first 2 draft picks for Santonio Holmes.

There are only 2 99 WR's in my season right now, Andre Johnson is one, and Dez Bryant is the other lol.

Anyone looking for a good NCAA Draft Class Import, head to Operation Sports Forum and someone worked on the roster to get it all right and he is updating his 2011 class and will be posting the updated file tonight. His first 2011 class was good, and he also is working on the 2012 and 2013 class too.

Anyway, I started a Dallas Cowboys Franchise and made some overhauls on the team. I Simulated the first season, finished 7-9, hired Jason Garrett as Head Coach and turned the Dallas Defense into a 4-3 defense by trading for Jerry Hughes(from Indy) and taking a beast of a DT in the first round. I also signed Leigh Tiffin the Kicker from Alabama and cut the current Cowboys Kicker. Did a bunch of trading and had like 9 picks and found me a Franchise FS, CB, DT, and got me a RT who I switched to LT and moved Sam Young into the starting role at RT. Found me a good LG as well.

Won my first game against the Panthers 20 to 7 and my second game is against the Bills who lost Fitzpatrick for 7 weeks and have several key injuries.
