The first person who predicts the 53-man roster that most closely resembles the Ravens’ September 4th roster wins a trip for two to New Jersey to watch the Ravens take on the Jets in the Monday Night Football season-opener at New Meadowlands Stadium! (Prize includes game tickets, round-trip train fare from Baltimore-Penn Station and one night hotel accommodations.)

Strategy:
There are at least two strategies you can employ as you compete for the prize. Each person can only enter one roster, so choose wisely:

In the case of a tie, the person who submitted his or her roster earliest will be declared the winner. Therefore, it may be a good strategy to enter your roster as soon as possible.

OR

To make the most well-informed decision, you may want to wait as long as possible to submit your roster. No one can predict injuries, signings or unexpected outstanding play on the field.

Important Dates:

Thursday, August 5 — Contest Begins
Thursday, August 12 — Watch/Listen to Ravens vs. Panthers Broadcast
Saturday, August 21 — Watch/Listen to Ravens at Redskins Broadcast
Saturday, August 28 — Watch/Listen to Ravens vs. Giants Broadcast
Tuesday, August 31 — Roster Cut to 75
Thursday, September 2 — Watch/Listen to Ravens at Rams Broadcast
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 — FINAL CONTEST SUBMISSIONS DUE BY 5PM — CONTEST OVER
Saturday, September 4 — Roster Cut to 53
Sunday, September 5 — Winner Announced on BaltimoreRavens.com

Now I was reading this and now is this contest open to those in the designated areas(MD, DE,PA, VA, WV and DOC) only? If so that sucks, I lived in MD my whole life and only graduated high school in 2008 and moved to NC for school, so I can't even enter because I moved to NC... can someone clarify this for me, I want to enter and I want to enter the different contests they have on here but If living in NC effects me not being able to win not just this contest but every other contest let me know. Plus it not only helps me but helps other who don't live in MD and are Ravens fans.

Look at the upside, at least you won't have to travel to NY and be heckled and harassed by drunk New Yorkers while they cheer on their over-hyped team on opening night.

It says you'd have to be a legal resident of those states, which probably means that, theoretically, if you still technically reside in any of those states even if you have a residence in another state, then you'd apply. It depends on the respective state's requirements to be recognized as a legal resident.

The contest page [i]is[/i] on BaltimoreRavens.com; if you're referring to this thread, this is the official message board, which is merely an extension of the website. There's a difference.

Additionally, as stated above, the contest uses electronic balloting, so submitting it via a reply here would not count since the balloting sorts the entries to determine the winning ones; it'd be a pain for them to try to read each and every entry, and also count to make sure that each entry has 53 players.

Yea you have to wait until the last minute in this contest. So much can happen in a matter of days at this point in preseason.

I just wish we knew what they were going to do with Ed Reed. I heard a possible decision could come on Saturday!

The 'Today" was yesterday (Friday). The link was taken down when the contest ended.
