I was thinking maybe the moderators could put together a post in the Announcement section containing a list of features that the message board offers for new members, as well as descriptions of each feature and maybe a tutorial.

For instance, I noticed that there's a Comment and Friend feature on here that no one's really utilized, and maybe we should all take advantage of that. I think we've kinda been hesitant to use them, though, because we don't really understand how they work, as well.

In addition, there's also comment features on the blogs that no one's really used, and the way I see it, as it pertains to anything on this board, if something's there, we might as well use it, y'know?

And maybe rewards and board privileges could be given periodically for certain accomplishments, such as whoever contributes most to the board, whoever does the best job of promoting the forum, whoever comes up with the best designs, etc.

Just a few things that I think could encourage further participation on this forum and attract more fans...

yeah i get on a couple other forums(hiphop forums) and there are alot more features. like skrilla, reputation, & etc. skrilla aka money which is used to buy things like change your username, color of username, italicize username, change your custom title, change another member's custom title(lol) & stuff like that...the reputation of course is a little bar which you praise someone(aka add rep) whenever they make a good point, etc. it will build up, also are there status changes? becuz i saw that i was in "practice squad", "members", & i'm a "rookie", does it change with number of posts? what about larger avatars? and for me it won't even let me upload an avatar is says that errors occur lol...

Yea, I get on hip-hop forums, too, and I like what they've done in terms of giving members customization options and whatnot that come along with reputation earned from posting and being active or gaining praise from other members.

I wish the avatars were allowed to be a little bit larger, though. Maybe 200x200 would be good. Just enough for people to actually SEE my avatar, y'know? LOL

Otherwise, I'm liking how the board's taking shape, so far...I like the addition of the new categories to help divide the topics a bit more and stop the general discussion section from getting cluttered...
