I dont want to say it, but we must fear the worst could happen. History has shown, athletes who have collapsed have died. Lets all hope Harvin the best.

Just because he collapsed does not mean he's in risk of dying. People collapse all of the time, for many different reasons. It could very well be due to his migranes.

I'm with you on this, Wacko, I don't want to see Percy in any worse shape. I will wish Percy Harvin the best, and also hope for the best at this time.

Does anyone else think Harvin's career could be in jeopardy?

This young, suffering from intense migraines and a possible concussion while fainting on the practice field to be taken away on an ambulance? That definitely is a big concern.

honestly migraines can cause optic seizures which nfl network reported they cant state one way or another if they happened . Optic siezures your body trembles and a blank stare ensuse at that same moment much less pronounced then a adult or adolescent seizure its one of the hardest to spot but seriouse none the less , more then likely before field it will mri ct and eeg for him to make sure it wasnt present sadly a few have had to quit the game because of such issues coming up. guys I know he could be a rival in the superbowl but I will pray for him none the less and yes i think we will meet them there

It definitely sounds like something else is going on, that we don't know about. Kinda like Samari Rolle a few years back.

I would say some sort of optic seizure. NFL.com reported that Harvin was "Looking up... to field a punt during a special teams drill". When you have a migraine you really don't want to look anywhere but straight ahead.

Without a doubt. I hope this isn't the case, but this is obviously starting to seriously affect Harvin's health.

I feel bad for thinking/saying/posting this especially in a possibly life threatening situation, but i can't help but think how this will affect my fantasy team

Definitely, but more due to the migraines than due to any collapse. With all of the issues migraines can be pointing to, I'm very concerned as to what the underlying issue to Harvin's health may be. Hopefully, it's nothing seriously, but it doesn't look good. It would be extremely sad to see such a young, promising career come to such a quick end. After this latest episode, I hope Harvin finds out what underlying conditions he may have (if any) and tries to get proper treatment. If worse comes to worse, and he has to make the hard decision to walk away, so be it. I'd hate to see him go, but it'd be tragic if he pushed himself and eventually cost him more than just his career.

I, for one, know how debilitating migraines and severe headaches can be. I could not imagine having to play a competitive, tough game of professional football in such a state.

Favre is just using his sith powers to drain Harvins life force, and sustain his withered, decaying body.

You see the hunger, it never goes away..

It's a sad story to hear but it's even more sad to witness Sergio Kindle's career probably ended. To the fact is that Kindle has nnot had a chance to play in the NLF for the first time.

*1 min prayer going for both these guys*

Update: Harvin returned to practice yesterday, but was on the sideline dressed in street clothes.
[/quote]

I have the feeling, DrMoonTooth, that Percy's career may be over if things get any worse in regard to these migraines, and his collapse.

Still, I will hope for the best for Percy, as he is a competitor in this regard.

Harvin didn't practice today, but the Vikes expect him back sometime this week... I think he'll be alright. We heard about these migraines all last year and he's had the problem all his life, so just because he collapsed doesn't mean his career is over.

It sounds to me like many of his migraines are stress-induced (ex. mourning the loss of his grandmother). That's just my observation, though.

I wouldn't call the migraines career threatening...yet. It's good to hear that the Vikings are being so careful with him.
