Harbs Jokes About Rex Sending Spies To Camp

In the next breath, Harbaugh took a playful jab at Ryan, the Ravens’ former defensive coordinator for 10 years.

“We do suspect that Coach Ryan has had a few of his local friends from Ellicott City out here with their cameras videotaping practice, but that’s OK. He’s knows what we’re doing, and we pretty much know what they’re doing. I’m sure there will be a few wrinkles, but it’s fun to watch.”[/quote]

Well, the word was in the article itself. Harbaugh jokingly claimed that Ryan had guys spying on the Ravens' practices. I'd consider that a jab at our old D-Coordinator. I also think about it in boxing terms in that a jab is the lightest punch one typically throws.

Like others have said, I dont see it as a Jab or any sort of smack talk. I think it was a small joke and thats it. Waste of a topic really, just because some people hate the jets doesnt make harbs and rex enemies....

I see it as a "jab" because of Harbaugh's personality. A "haymaker" by Harbaugh is comparable to one of many "jabs" Ryan has to have in what seems like every press conference.

I guess what I'm saying is Harbaugh even making that small comment is notable because our head coach has the exact opposite personality of his former defensive coordinator. This is probably about the closest thing to talking smack that you'll ever see from Harbaugh.
