Merged: Cousins Carted Off Field With Possible Concusion

It doesn't sound like it's terribly serious. I think that drafting Oher is looking like a better move every week. I'm glad we've got Moll and Harewood behind Cousins, but i'm hoping that both Cousins and Gaither will be ready for week 1. I think that the coaches and medical staff are being very cautious with the guys because of the emphasis on head injuries by the league. I know it seems as though the ravens are dropping like flies, but remember that being healthy in August isn't nearly as important as being healthy in December/January. Luckily, we have pretty solid depth at the tackle position and even have some guards that can play Tackle if need be. Although I know cam would rather use Yanda at guard if possible.

It's true that it is more important to be healthy during the season, but if they aren't healthy now it makes you wonder what it's going to be like when the bumps and bruises of the season catch up to them.

I thought he got in a fight with Edgar Jones? Didn't Cousins get in a scuffle with someone last year too?

I think he's been in like 5 fights this year. If our goal is to make him a better boxer, well we might just be succeeding . He'll be fine. Hale has no structural damage either, so we're healthier than we think. Gaither is the one lingering problem, but should also be healthy in a matter of weeks.

Update on Cousins status. I imagine we will see him in at least one of the last preseason games before the regular season.
