how do you get 20 million OVER the cap!?

I know were obviously not in the best position ourselves, but that's just ridiculous. Dan Snyder really is an idiot ( not like we needed proof but whatever.)

I'm sure the Redskins will be fine as far as their cap. I have to give credit to Snyder on this one. He does know how to crunch the numbers to get his cap where it should be at. I mean he is probably the 2nd richest owner in football.

As far as the Ravens, we just started working on our cap recently, Todd Heap being the 1st victim. I'm sure the Ravens will be fine also. A few contracts get re-structured, a few base salaries into bonuses. Maybe even cut a person after June 1st, so we don't get hit with it bad as you do pre-June 1st. The downside is that it will be spread out to future caps, which could hurt in the future. So hopefully we won't need to cut anyone at all.

It's crazy that San Diego is so far under the cap with so many high-profile players.

yeah that's what I thought.

I think it's because they have alot of 'product of the system' players, but even they get alot of money, so I don't know.

maybe they're being a little shady with their finances.

snyder isn't my favorite owner when it comes to football smarts, but you can't blame the guy for wanting to win. plus, there's always ways to manipulate the salary cap.

I think these are last week's numbers. Both the Ravens and the Slurs have improved their position since then.

Depending on what happens in the next few weeks, the Ravens may be even farther under the cap. I am thinking Ogden is going to retire and Rolle, McNair, Flynn, and maybe Mason are going to be asked to redo their deals or be cut/ traded.

Do you know that most deadskins fans dont even realize that the term Redskin is a racial slur?

HAHA, that is true. A few of my friends are deadskin fans and they usually goto 1 away game a year. They chose to goto Green Bay this year for their game. They told me on the phone while they were tailgating, that alot of fans were protesting against the Redskins name. Of course Green Bay being the team that is owned by the city. They do take things to another level in Green Bay though :P.

I do try not to say deadskins to them lately, just because of Sean. But I've been saying it for YEARS, so it slips out all the time.

Yeah, I guess it is a little insensative giving the recent tragedy they suffered. I guess we will just have to find a new nickname for them for a little while.

how do you get 20 million under the salary Cap?...by being smart and Managing your money and your situations wisely, not just going out there and Making offers and contracts left and right to different players on the market, by Strategically Evaluating the Team's options to run with, breaking down what they need to do, figuring out if a certain "thing" or Player would be the best and most logical fit into their Team and could help them out in the long and short run of things and going from that point forward.

Thats not right, we are at 5m under the cap before we re did Heap's contract. You also have to add in that only the Ravens staff and NFL know what the exact figure is for the team because there is a certain privacy to each player's contract. Everything we pretty much hear is a close figure but not exact.

How in the world do the Chargers have that much CAP space? Well, Rivers should be looking for a contract extension soon and will eat up alot of that.

i just dont see how The patriots can keep offering all those Contract's to all those play makers and have no problems...now they've offered a contract to Former Miami Dolphin Zach Thomas...i mean i can understand a team going after a few here and there and what not But come on, they surely cant afford to keep paying those players the numbers they are for a extended period of time. <_<

cuz they dont have the big names we have like the ed reeds and ray lewis's. they locked up the main players Bradyand his line and can afford the rest of the replaceable players like the aging line backers that reach the point where they will take a pay cut for a ring. look at how old there d is

it has to, i mean they surely cannot keep ALL of those High Profile Players ALL on the same roster you know?......they are tope dollar guys and when a Team goes after as many players as the Patriots have, They can only get or go So far before it starts back firing or something else. they cant keep all those play makers on that team for a long period of time because they are paying top dollar for ALL of them and so maybe 1,2,3 years tops maybe not surely not LONG term.
