Fab Washington Is Playing Saturday

11 posts in this topic

As long as he's 100% I'm very glad to hear this.

From 1Winning Drive on Twitter.

"Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington says he will play in Saturday's preseason game - his first since the knee injury."

I hope he plays a lil better. His play slipped last season comapared to when they first got him in 08. A bit of that may have been due to the pass rush but still.

I wonder how many snaps he'll play. Regardless, I'm glad he'll be back on the field and can gain some confidence in his knee before Week 1.

I doubt it will be very many. The most, one drive. Probably testing real game speed + building a little bit of confidence. Nothing too taxing.

You're probably right. When he comes in will be interesting too.

So glad to hear this, our secondary has been all we talked about since "we didn't address" the need at corner. Sure we may not have Webb, though if Webb can be back before our bye or after our bye I would be happy. Having Fabian back is wonderful news for our depleted secondary which only has a hard hitting Dawan Landry right now as the only constant in our secondary. Hopefully Ed comes back by the 3rd pre-season game and our secondary will ok by the time we head to New Jersey to play the Jets.

These are the best back-to-back days this whole offseason, and easily the two best days since acquiring Boldin. Webb and Wasington starting the season, finally some good news out of Ravens' camp.

Washington did a really nice job for his first game back. He really seemed to be flying around and having fun out there. He was physical in the run game, and also was strong on defending underneath routes.

It would have been great to see him come up with the pick on the goaline, probably would have taken it back for 6 and it would have been a shut out

He played a pretty good game. I'll rewatch the game and see how he did, but off the top of my head he was much improved over last season, which is most likely a result of the improved pass rush.

I wish he would have taken that back for 6, would have been sweet!!!
