Todd Heap?

I have been hearing from people that Mr. Todd Heap may be traded this YEAR for a few players forgot what team i was told.. because they believe Sypnewski could fill in perfectly to take his place and that Todd is always getting hurt and taking to much time when he gets hurt sitting on the side lines. This is what i heard were the reasons for possible trading him away. Now does anyone know if there is a possibility about this going to happen or is it just a flat out rumor/lie and will not be happening?. I think it would be a good move if we tried to get rid of him for CJ.... CINCI needs a good Tight End.... they have 2 other GREAT WR's besides CJ.

How do you guys feel about any of this?.

I myself would be all FOR IT if we could get a GREAT PLAYER like CJ in return or a #1 round pick and a SHUT DOWN CORNER to replace SAMARI ROLLE who is getting older and older and his EPILEPSEY however it is spelled is GETTING REALLY BAD.. where he is just missing WAY to many games for us....

BTW: is SUGGS going to leave before next year?!. I heard this as well that they won't pay him enough to stick around like AD.... that will be a HUGE HUGE BLOW for our D was bad enough losing AD to have SUGGS go as well our D will not be close to #1 anymore and LEWIS IS AGING as we all know..

I have never heard rumors of us trading Todd Heap. I mean the guy just re-structured his contract for us, so we have room in our cap.

I don't think that "Mr. Heap" is going anywhere.

I doubt that we can trade Todd because that would create a HUGE hit on our cap. We just restructured his contract to give ourselves some much needed cap space.

Suggs is not going anywhere this year. Ozzie has already said that he'll use the franchise tag on Suggs.

anyone who restructures their contract for the benifit of the team is a class act in my opinion! heap is for keeps!

Well, Heap just redid his deal. So, I doubt it. The thing is if they trade him now, his cap penalty would be more then it would have been last week. They may have been considering it before but because they just moved a chunk of his salary to being a bonus, it wouldnt be very smart to do that now because trading him would make him count like 4 or 5 million against the cap.

yea all this Heap Talk i think should have ended when He and the Team BOTH agreed to Re-structure his contract in order to help the team out, while remaining a Raven, i think that decision alone is a "Win-Win" sitaution here because Heap got what he wanted in staying a Raven, plus the team got what it wanted in both Retaining Heap AND at the same time, making more room for them to have more room elsewhere....smart decsion on both parts.
