This is just an article written by Schefter and a video with his interview of Flacco and Rice. I didn't see an ad. Did I just not notice it...?

Oh! I see what you're saying. I thought when you said "ad", you meant some witty advertisement like a billboard that portrayed our desire to pick up another corner. Yeah I read the article (or ad)...good news to hear considering how Schefter is right the majority of the time.

Good, we obviously need to do this; it'd be a shame for such a complete team to not achieve their goal because of one unit.

personally i think we need o-line depth about the same as cbs.

Really? Our starters were good last year and we haven't lost anyone. With some more experience I think they're going to get even better. And we have at least two decent backups (Chester and Cousins). Unless we get a rash of injuries we should be fine. I don't think we should freak out about our O-Line after one preseason game. While at corner all 3 of our best corners are either injured or are just recently coming off an injury. I'd much rather have a good CB (not a practice squad guy or a depth guy but someone who can contribute as a starter) than another O-lineman. Though I think we should definitely address both, I'm more concerned about our DB situation.

Didn't you hear, friend? Cam has declared Cousins our starter! No more backup roles for "CUZ", he's the main man on the right side now or at least until he proves otherwise.

I love Adam Schefter, but EVERY SINGLE PUNDIT is calling for us to make a trade for a "veteran corner." Absolutely unneccessary in my opinion, considering all of the trade scenarios I have seen proposed by these guys involve players we absolutely need to make it all the way like Barnes and McGahee. Yeah, bringing in a fresh veteran completely unfamiliar with our system 2 or fewer weeks before the season starts is absolutely better than Cary Williams, Travis Fisher, Gerard, or any of these guys who already know whats up and will be absolutely fine if our pass rush does what its supposed to this year...how many times can I use absolutely in one post, haha..

I agree. Although it would be nice to bring in a popular name, I just don't think it's necessary. The way our secondary plays relies on the push of our front seven. If we fail getting to the QB, then we fail stopping plays through the air. Let the players prove themselves. Try to groom someone in-house before giving up multiple draft picks and/or players. Besides this, I really don't see us making a trade unlss another major injury happens to our defensive line, our LB's or the secondary. I really think that what we have now, will be what we will have come Febraury.
