Preseason Game Tickets

6 posts in this topic

If anyone is having trouble getting rid of their pre-season tickets, you might want to think about doing what we did. We donated ours to a charity so that a young person could enjoy the game day experience. It was a win-win situation for everyone.

Actually, I just made a phone call to Big Brothers/Big Sisters and someone came to my office and picked them up. It beats not using the tickets at all and hopefully a special kid got a thrill out of seeing the Ravens run out of the tunnel.

Fred has been doing this for the better part of the last decade. I saw him and his entourage of kids at the Panthers game --- it was very, very impressive. He took about 80 needy kids into the stadium with tickets donated by other Ravens fans.

For many years, I have been buying cheap unusable Ravens preseason tickets for members a home for mentally ill adults. These guys love the Ravens! It's worth every penny of the donation to see their facial expressions when they go into our big stadium to see Ray Lewis, Todd Heap, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed etc. in person. I have been pleasantly surprised that mental illnesses have not impeded these guys from following the Ravens as strongly and with as much knowledge as most other Ravens fans.

I don't need or want donations, and Fred Grau probably already has his hands full ... but I would encourage any of you who are stuck with unusable preseason tickets to consider a donation instead of just letting the tickets lapse.
