Who Is Going To Win?

21 posts in this topic

Who do you think will win the rest of the pre-season games?

8/21/10 7PM @ Redskins

8/28/10 7:30PM vs Giants

9/2/10 8PM @ Rams

I think we'll win all of them.

I'm not too concerned with winning or losing pre-season games, I'm just hoping everyone can get the reps in they need to be ready for the season, and that everyone survives it health intact.

I have to agree. It is always more fun to win, regardless when, but preseason is no indicator as to what will happen in the regular season. After all, we won all our preseason games last year and just made the play offs.

Kinda mad I can't watch the next game. None of my local channels carry it and Sunday Ticket doesn't show preseason games like I thought it would.

I don't really care that much. As far as I'm concerned, the real winner is the team with no injuries.

Yep that's all that matters in preseason. Who can walk away with the least amount of injuries.

BTW, did we tally any up last night? I saw Burgess limping off the field once but I believe he came back in.

I think we should start third string against St.Louis, dont risk getting anyone hurt we"ll still smoke them.

nobody got hurt against the panthers, but the redskins were pretty good last night...we can still win against them easily. and i agree, it doesn't matter who wins, but its just fun to watch.

I don't really care about preseason wins or losses because they never amount to anything. The 0-16 Detroit Lions of 2008 went 4-0 in the preseason if I remember correctly.

With the Rams pre season game being the last, we usually dont see any of the starters play. Perhaps one series if we are lucky. This is when the coaching staff is evaluating players who are on the bubble and trying to trim the roster down.

But yeah, a good win won't harm anyones confidence

Main thing is no injuries and hopefully to see some young players step up

And wow, two supporters from Ireland in a row here.
Ravens have an international following!

Let the NFL network be your friend. They will show the replay of the game. The only negative is that you'll have to watch the first half under the Redskins broadcast team.

So you can be sure to hear Theismann complain about the Ravens defense being so aggressive in a preseason game.

That game against the Rams might be the single most important game of Troy Smith's NFL career. If you remember back to last season Jon Beck took all of the snaps in the final preseason game against the Falcons.

I look for the coaches to do the same thing with Troy. They might have Bulger take a few snaps just to get him a little more comfortable in the offense, but not much.

The Reason why i say that game will be so important for Troy is because he will get a heavy look. Like i said before Beck took all the snaps in last season's preseason finale and his performance is probably what got him traded for by Washington.

That game might be Troy's final stand to make his case to the Ravens or any other team for that matter.

He'll probably be playing with guys like Dickson, Pitta, Harper, Williams, Stallworth, and maybe even the starting Oline(minus Birk) for a series or two. So he should have good weapons around him.

So for all the fans that say give Troy a chance, the final preseasaon game might be his last one.

Good point, hopefully he does well. I hope he has the game of his career. It will stir up alot around here but it still wont change the depth chart in my opinion.

Yea i hope he does well too. I like Troy personally, however much like Kyle Boller, it doesn't matter how well he's liked, his play will speak the loudest.

I know you can't compare what goes on with one team to another, but i look around the league, watch games on NFL Network all weekend and i can't help but to notice how guys like Josh Johnson and Dennis Dixon have seemed to make that year to year improvement.

Even it he was a minor improvement for those guys, it's an improvement. It seems like we continue to see the same things over and over from Troy, much like we did with Boller for years.

I still have hope for Troy, but i don't honest see much coming from him.

Show off Marc Bulger in the Rams game lol. We can't afford to let anyone get hurt. That's why Ray Rice sat out the whole panthers game.
