I've said it before and Ill say it again. Troy was, is and always be a situational QB, a gadget QB, not a starting QB. Unless they invent some kind of magical potion that makes you grow like a foot over night, he will never be a starting QB in the NFL.

Or unless he gets traded to Oakland. They let anyone have a shot there to start. Hell even Charlie Frye got a chance there after the garbage he spewed in Cleveland.

Maybe I'm just a dumb chick that doesn't know much about football but,
I like Troy Smith and find it sad that people find the need to start a thread to do nothing but bash the man.

Actually I find it sad that any group of people would sit around and bash any one person, no matter who they are.

Like someone else said, He IS on the team.

He is a RAVEN and I don't know for sure but I'm guessing
that the rest of the team wouldn't be too happy that people feel the need to sit around and bash one of their team mates.

Well not necessarily, criticism is a great tool for improvement (as long as it doesn’t get out of hand like some posts here)

People will always like sertin people and hate others i.e. Williams or smith.

Smith will just always be 3rd string. It could be worse and defiantly could be better but we could be talking about something more important than the 3rd string QB lol.

Yeah.. the "savior" of the Browns. He was awesome at Akron but just too skittish and inconsistent for the NFL. He goes into the Smith/Painter category... career backup.

need to let go of troy now! maybe we can get a db 4 him. troy has ok skills,but no IQ 4 NFL.to succeed in NFL,with his small stature,he needs excellent skills and smarts.I can't see him improving in either category. I've tried to give him benefit of doubt,times up!

San Fran. After Alex Smith fumbled the ball the crow as chanting. I had to listen closely to see if they were saying "We Want Troy!" or if it was "We Want Carr!". It was the latter. I would have melted if San Fran fans were chanting for Troy.

They are almost there. Would not be surprised if Troy gets his chance there. Alex Smith is making some great throws but w/ bad decisions. A lot of that has to do with the horrible O-Line play.
