Interesting. I thought it was an easy poll at first because there is no way Troy Smith is throwing for that many yards. But everything else will happen. I think Harper catches 5 balls, Steele rushes for over 50 yards (if he gets enough touches), and the defense will be very good at pass rushing

On second thought, I realized 250 was way too high so I changed to a more realistic total.

All seem very possible, so I went with the old standby: defense :D .

Just glad there's going to be a game to talk about and tangible performance to analyze.

Should've made it a multi-awnser poll.

I'm thinking Harper catches 5 balls and Steele gets a solid 60-70 yards and, at some point in the game, trucks the heck out of Jon Beason.

I thought about making it a multi-answer poll but didn't for some reason.

Beason will probably be on the sidelines when Steele gets in the game but a collision between them would be cool.

I think Clayton will see a lot of time on the field and facing 2nd or 3rd team defenses , he might rack up 5+ catches.

Oh dang, didn't think about that. But I can settle for Beason taking a Willis stiff arm.
I like Beason but there a few things better than Willis stiff-arming someone to the turf.

I think Bulger will light it up for however long he's in. Also gotta admit I'm rooting for Cundiff I think.
I'm with you. I want Cundiff to get the decision at the end of the day. He came in last year and brought some stability to that aspect of our game, where we had been in turmoil.

Let's see... Sack, Sack, Sack, and more Sack.
If our D-line is giving so much problem to our o-line which is rated top five, then imagine what happens to one that is ridden with injuries.

D-line is going to dominate the trenches.

I hope D gives Clausen a rookie welcome to the big league.

Sanchez found out first hand what happens when you don't come unprepared against our Def. (interception for 6)

I don't think the Ravens play Troy Smith until all the scrubs are in. Which means he won't have much of an offensive line at all.

But I HOPE to see... JUSTIN HARPER take over the game and get extended playing time to really showcase his improved self.

And I also can see the defense EASILY taking advantage of the Panthers young QBs and lack of a real receiving threat(I assume Steve Smith is still rehabing from injury and won't play).

I'm not expecting much of anything from any of these preseason games...I hope all our guys perform well and stay healthy obviously...but for me it'll be good just to see some PURPLE again.

I think with all this emphasis on the offense takin over, Ray is not gonna let his side of the ball get overshadowed. I think he's gonna make matt moore cry. Cheeseburger will break the Pickle (jimmy clausen.) And Curtis Steele or Parmele will have a nice 50yd TD

I picked the defense grabbing three sacks because of the emphasis on the pass rush this offseason. We should definitely see some progress, and nothing's better at showing progress more than a lot of sacks

We will win just based on how much more rigorous our training camp has been. You will also see a couple of players on 2nd and 3rd teams standout out. I think one will be a corner back in the defensive alignment we play. (A--L-O-T of subs. playing.)

Not that I buy into wins/losses in the preseason, but if we don't man-handle the Panthers, I will be disappointed. They might even be more beat up than us health-wise - LINK: http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/article/2010-08-11/panthers-without-11-vs-ravens-4-qbs-could-play

responding to the poll, I wouldn't be surprised at all if both C and D happened

I notice Curtis Steele's name coming up a bit. Big Memphis Tiger fan here, so looking forward to watching my guys DeAngelo and Curtis rip it up tomorrow.

I have seen some things on Curtis, and as per my post, he is very good. How has he looked at practice? Is he getting some good reviews and/or pr?

Let me know, thanks!

Go Tigers!

Most of our second unit players on the defense can start on any other team. They would rather be backing up the Ravens then starting on another squad not ranked top 5 every year for the last 10 years of existence..

You're kidding yourself if you truly believe that. Any athlete wants to PLAY, not be a backup.

I'd rather have Graham than Cundiff in the clutch.
Graham had a pretty rough outing yesterday. Still, the real battle begins tomorrow.
