Good news, ER20, I can make it to the draft. Apparently the Northern California High School football league is saying no contact practices till the 15th, meaning on Friday the practice is only from 12-5. I'll make it to the draft.

Dude... I was kidding.

My bad, I overreacted. I just don't like to be called a cheater for no reason. I don't need to cheat to win. But I'll give you an opinion: look at everybody's teams before you make false accusations.

it was a majority vote, even if Ed.s52 and I actually thought that was an unfair trade, the majority should have been the ultimate decision in the trade.

What is Cedric Benson's value? Doesn't get a whole lot of catches, got hurt last year. Personally, I think I would value Ryan Matthews higher. I might even view Pierre Thomas higher.

How's Donald Driver's knees. Last I heard they were really bothering him and he had lost a step?

On drafting IDP players, where do they normally go in the rounds? Do the best IDP players kind of have the same idea as TE's; like having a great on like Dallas Clark and Gates can really pay off, like an extra receiver, but if you can't get the best one's, its better to hold off until a little bit later? Or does that analogy have no similarity at all and I have no idea what I'm talking about?

I feel like the 4 3 has the best IDP players. The defensive line gets more sacks/tackles. And the MLB is perfect to get the most tackles and make the most plays. Am I on to something?

I haven't seen a common round where IDP players starting going but usually, once Patrick Willis gets snapped up, someone drafts Jon Beason or one of the elite DEs. After that, at least one IDP player gets picked up per rounds.

You're right about 4-3 Ds having more useful IDPs.

Is there a specific system that is better for DB's? I guess a lot depends on the pressure that is developed by the front 7.

Pressure is good and can lead to turnovers but it's impossible to predict who'll rack up INTs. The best DBs to target are strong safeties who consistently rack up tackles. You can go with big-play free safeties like O.J. Atogwe but be prepared to deal with a lot of "feast or famine".

Alright alright. This is tough. I like it though. I don't have a real firm knowledge of the defensive side of the ball and this will help. So bare with me in your yahoo league if it's IDP, and don't expect veteran picks, I'll probably just stick with the projection sheet haha.

I take it for strategy, you kind of look at who surrounds him, what kind of defense the defense plays, how much they play, amount of pressure the defense generates. That kind of thing. See what defense is an up and coming defense and pick on that idea. alright

Yep. Stick with the rankings in Yahoo's IDP primer and you'll be fine. Use the "watch list" to monitor interesting players as well because every year, there are IDPs that come out of nowhere to put up big numbers.

It'll be interesting to see how IDP affects teams and seeing how a person who drafted good IDP players and the person who didn't.

What's everyone's opinion of Jahvid best? Looks like Kevin Smith is playing better than people thought. And last year I thought Kevin Smith would be an ok player and he wasn't. That Lions offense is kind of stagnant. And when an offense is stagnant, players don't tend to perform. And I don't expect drastic changes.

I steered clear of the Lions Offense altogether. Calvin Johnson is great, but after that... well, we don't know too much about them. Best may turn out good, or he may just end up on the wrong side of the deal and get benched once Kevin Smith starts showing himself more. And as for Johnson, he put up good numbers last year, but not elite. Does Nate Burleson and Tony Scheffler, two undperforming inconsistent players with decent upside, bring double teams away from him? And does Stafford take a step forward even though he does have a bad O-Line still that way Johnson can get the ball?

Well it looks like Houston's backfield could get easier to decipher.

Tate went down with a knee injury today and had to be carted off from the sideline. Speculation is that it could be serious. If it is, then there were 2.

Feel bad for Tate but I'm glad I have Foster as a RB3 in my league

It sounds like Tate might be out for the season with a broken ankle.

ER20 good late pick up with Foster. Now he'll be going a lot of rounds earlier. You just got a steal.

Perhaps Slaton makes a comeback this year though. But Foster is now a very, very solid pickup in all drafts.

Yep. I'm feeling really good about having Foster as my RB3. As long as he doesn't put the ball on the turf frequently, he could have a top 15 year.

Larry Fitzgerald is going in for an MRI according to the Arizona Republic after injuring his right knee Saturday. They believe that it isn't serious.

And Mike Bell can't stay healthy in Philadelphia after tweaking both his hamstring and Calf. Could be promising for McCoy owners.

I know, but it was for the best. I have a ton of college apps to fill out, a marching band to lead, a number one tennis seed to uphold, an All-State Band spot to reclaim, and some pretty ridiculous AP classes to keep A's in, just to name a few things that limit my free time. I'll admit though, giving up FF for me is like taking away Sonny's Cocoa Puffs :sohappy:.

It stems from Leinhart. He's a pretty depressing guy. He drags the rest of the team down.

Is this an indication of whats to come for Chad OchoCinco?

Targets by preseason game:
PS Game One - 1
PS Game Two - 2

Owens and Gresham saw a lot of targets.

No way. I don't see this being a problem at all. Palmer knows where Ocho is going to be on the field. The Bengals are just developing chemistry with TO and the rookie because they need them all clicking on the same page together week one. The Ocho will get his. Kind of similar to the Mason Boldin situation, but Ocho is better than Mason. I imagine something like 1000 yards and 5 tds for the Ocho.

But won't the #1 CBs still be covering Ocho? It's tough for defenses to figure who should get the all-star coverage treatment. I guess they figure that as the game progresses. Whoever seems to be hotter will get the treatment.

Whoever is the #2 receiver on the Bengals this year should see some good targets. Just like Caldwell did last year (I do not really count Coles as a valid receiver).
