Already have a claim on him in all four leagues. Even though I am absolutely stacked at RB in two leagues.
I've put in claims for him in my two leagues as well. Even if Ahman Green(who I just found out is playing in the UFL) is brought back, Jackson should see at least 20 touches per game from here on out.

Green is a bum nowadays. Hence the UFL. I like Jackson as one of those guys who can really break out, especially on the Packers O. He's still young at 25, and can break some long runs.

Brian Westbrook should've held out until the end of week 1.

Broncos made a questionable move by traded for Laurence Maroney of the Pats. Hopefully they didn't give up much to get him.

My link

Its safe to say the Pats like Fred Taylor this year. And hopefully the Broncos don't turn into a running back by committee.

Why all the love for Jackson?? I mean, what has he done so far in his career that has made you go 'wow' at?? Granted, he will be decent in the Pack Offense, but I don't see him putting up great numbers. I may be wrong, but would you drop Jones Drew, Foster, Pierre Thomas, Jahvid Best, or Charles for him? Thats an emphatic no for me.

I wouldn't drop Jackson for most of those guys no. It's not like Jackson is that great. But he will be a starting back on an offensive team. That's worthy of a spot on the bench until we can see what he can do. It also depends on the size of your league. Any league with 12+ players. Starting RBs are at a premium.

You name Foster above, he got in the same situation (sort of) because of injuries to Slayton and Tate. Jackson should make good with the opportunity to present.

But out of your list. I like Jackson better than Best, but I probably wouldn't drop best. I'd just find a way to make room for Jackson on my bench.

And also do you want to pass up a guy, only to watch him go for like 1500 yards and 12 TDs? Where in a draft, he would be going in the 3rd/4th and now you could have him for some bench hugger?

Big Big news for all you V-Jax guys out there.

The arbitrator for the NFL has ruled V-Jax's suspension would only be 4 games if he were to be traded instead of the six games if he remains with the Chargers.

This could really push for teams to trade for V-Jax. In fact if a trade were to happen, it would need to occur between friday and Wed of next week apparently. As a strick trade window is open. I expect a trade to occur after this weeek's games.

Possible teams who have shown interest, Rams, Redskins, Seahawks, Minny.

V-Jax to the Vikings would really annoy me. Just when it looked like #4 were on the verge of fading into obscurity, they'd get a HUGE upgrade.

Apparently, Devin Aromashodu has been "permanently" passed on the depth chart by Earl Bennett.

Thanks a lot Devin! I thought I was genius investing in you in both leagues as a #2. :34853_brickwall:

Yeah. Good think I benched Devin for J-Stew in my ppr league for the last second. J-Stew's 4 points really saved me in a close one.

I like Earl Bennet, but he isn't a very good option in anything other than a ppr league. He won't rack up the touchdowns or yards.

All you Charles fan boys. He's a backup, they love Jones. Don't want to say it, but I told you Jones would steal the thunder.

Charles did not get his first carry until the 3rd possesion. And when the game was on the line, who was in there? Thomas Jones.

I think he said it best himself "I'm a backup"

It's a crime. The Chiefs are 2-0 but someone needs to knock Haley out an start King Charles anyway.

Makes me look smart(ish) taking Bennett in a couple of leagues with very late round picks. Hopefully some idiot thinks that means he'll get lots of points and I can get rid of him for someone half-good.

I believe I started the Run DMC bandwagon, but now I'm about to trade him and Maclin for Boldin... hopefully if it happens, Michael Bush will have a speedy recovery lol

Haley truly has to be the most idiotic Coach I've ever seen, and it goes past the Jones/Charles situation. 3rd and 2, two good runningbacks on the team, a below average Qb with only average recievers, and you pass it deep??? No way he keeps his job after this year.... even if they do manage to sneak into the playoffs, which won't happen as long as TJ is getting the start and doing nothing with it. Come on man, we all know that Charles is the BEST runningback on your team. Use him.

Sounds like Reggie Bush could be out 6 weeks. My link

Pierre Thomas is being set up to be the only guy. Hamilton goes down for the year, Bush goes out for a while. I'm going to put Wynn on my radar, but how viable is he?

Ofcourse things do come in threes. Maybe the third is Brees and the Madden curse.

Torain is already rejoicing:

Looking at his games between now and Washington's bye, Torain could put up some serious numbers if he stays healthy.

So the Saints sign Julius Jones. And all I have to say about this is Really?
Unbelievable. You really have to wonder what NFL coaching staffs and FOs are thinking some times.

I don't understand why more NFL teams don't sign young FA RBs mid-season as opposed to old, worn-down RBs.

Betts didn't do half bad last week, so I really don't see what Jones can bring to the table in New Orleans.
Exactly. Betts has proven he can pick up the blitz in pass protection and catch balls out of the backfield. It makes no sense. Jones must have something that coaches want in a backup. Only thing I can think of is if the Saints are considering putting Thomas on IR. Than this move might make sense.

But I can't see that happening.

Man, losing Bush for an extended amount of time and Thomas for the season, huge hit to that team. As well as Betts performed, neither he nor Jones would be as effective to the Saints system as Bush and Thomas.

with Kareem Huggins done for the year, does this boost Cadilac or Blount's stock more?... i just picked up Cadilac as a bye week fill-in with Best, Foster, and Greene all on byes and TB plays StL, so hopefully it works out.

Both, but I think it boosts Caddy's a bit more. One less guy that they will want to try and get touches. Caddy is still a good runner, but the run scheme they have just isn't working.

If I'm playing a TB running back it's Caddy. Even with his poor YPC he's still getting in involved in the offense. He only had 10 carries for 18 yards but he was targeted 8 times in the passing game! That's 3rd this week behind Felix Jones and Ray Rice. He caught all but one target.

He's 8th this season in targets by a RB. Not to shabby.

I think Blount will still get carries. But Caddy is still the guy you want.

agreed.. I'm just scared the carries that Blount takes away will be the most important when it comes to fantasy... at the goal line
