Ravens lead the preseason history, 3-1.
Panthers lead the regular season series, 3-0.

This is the first of four preseason contests for the Ravens, who are trying to make the playoffs for a third-consecutive year, which would be a first for the 15-year-old franchise. Baltimore will play at the Redskins on 8/21, host the Giants on 8/28 and complete the preseason with a 9/2 contest at the Rams. The 2009 Ravens (9-7) earned the postseason, where they won at New England (33-14) in the Wild Card round and lost at Indy (20-3) in the Divisional. The Panthers were 8-8 a year ago. The Ravens are in training camp at McDaniel College (Westminster, MD), where they hosted the largest (11,506) non-scrimmage practice in team history last Friday (7/30). The team will stay at McDaniel through Aug. 20 before returning to its Owings Mills facility

I'm looking forward to being at this game just to get that Ravens football is back feeling. Would be nice to see an opening drive TD.

Such a shame that we won't be playing them in the regular season this year. The Panthers and Patriots are the only two teams that we have yet to beat in a REGULAR season game.

CORRECTION: We do play Carolina in the regular season this year. Week 9.

Whoops. Forgot. My bad. Well that's good, if we can beat the Patriots and Panthers this year, we will have beaten everybody once in the regular season......that'll mean we finally caught up to Brett Favre.

It doesn't look good for tomorrow night with rain and storms predicted. I better not forget some sort of rain gear....like a boat.

Who are you guys looking forward to seeing at the game? I'd like to see how Cody would hold up against their good rushing offense. I'd also like to see our rejuvenated pass rush. I've been hearing good stuff in training camp.

Surprisingly, I'm looking forward to seeing key backups play at the WR, RB, and LB positions. As excited as I am to see our new starters, they won't see much playing time Thursday (and for good reason), so I'm really more anxious to see the depth that our team has now.
