Can't Escape Them Anywhere!

Ok, so I'm playing Madden 11 that I bought at the Midnight release. It's Ravens/Steelers, the best rivalry in Football for the last couple years. I'm the Ravens, of course, and I'm going against the Steelworkers. Settings is All-Madden and we're at M&T Bank. I'm dominating the game. Foxworth Pick six Big Ben and it's 7-0 Ravens. Then the D is continuing to stuff the Steelers offense.

I'm moving the ball on the defense, but like our real life Ravens at times, I couldn't punch it in. So I take a 10-0 lead heading into the third. I get the ball at the half and again can't score, so it's 13-0. Steelers finally get on the board with a field goal so it's now 13-3. 4 minutes left to play in the game. This is the best part. I'm eating clock and it's 3rd and 2. I hand it to Ray Rice and he coughs up for football! (I knew this was the beginning of the end) Steelers score. 13-10 Ravens now.

3 minutes left and I eat clock. 3rd and 7 now. I go for a short pass to Clayton (THE FRAUD!) He tips the ball and Polomalu pick six Flacco! 2 MINUTES LEFT! 17-13 Steelers. And to stay true to the fashion, I get the ball on the kickoff ready to response to the score and not have a super collapse. Webb gets it, does what he do and he turns the corner! Gus Johnson going wild! 90-somthing yard TD return for Webb! Then I see Yellow at the bottom of my screen. "Holding, Chris Carr" at the darn 10-yard line. I had one timeout and made it to mid-field before Flacco was picked again.

I wanted to throw my controller at the TV. All because Ray Rice and his darn fumble. Changed everything. But I lol'd at my Ravens about to take the lead again with like a minute left and the flag comes out for holding on a kickoff TD return. Can't escape the Refs or the Steelers. This game was like when we went to Pittburgh last year.

We beat them in every stage of the game for 58 minutes! I wish I could have taped this Madden game. It was fun and realistic just like they said. (Yeah, with my Ravens getting the job by the Refs again!)

Great story those things happen everywhere,Even in my football mogul game! Is the AI any better this year? IF so then I'll buy it if not then I'll keep 10 I'm not paying 60 for a roster update and a game that looks the EXACT same.

Everywhere I've read and from my friends who've been gloating because they got the game before me, the AI is much-improved in some aspects of the game, while there's still other problems. There's also some issues with blocking where defenders get penetration too often when you're on offense and yet you can't get to the QB for crap when you're on defense, and play-action is almost asking for a sack. These will probably be fixed with a patch, though not the same one that is also supposed to bring back the old style of pre-snap adjustments.

We sure did beat them in every aspect of the game last year when we went to Pitt. I still laugh but at the same time get frustrated thinking about it. It was a very odd game.

Yeah I have found that even in Madden 10 and 09 it seems like no matter what I get one of those classic Ravens/Steelers close games that goes to the last second in the 4th quarter. Those games I love, because it's so realistic I feel like I'm watching the real thing.
