So I was playing some Madden yesterday. I guess I'm dealing with a lot of injuries on my team. Because when I was on defense I intercepted the ball, yes! It was Boldin intercepting?!? WTH is he doing out their as a DB?
Man tell me about it, Gaither had back spasms missed a game, Reed herniated disk out 9 weeks, Lewis broken jaw out 5 weeks, Webb torn labrum out 8 weeks, Gooden sprained wrist out 2 weeks. This was all before week 4 of the season lol.

Update- Mason just blew out his bicep out 11 weeks.

Question: Does everyones playart show ALL the time and can OTHERS see it? I was never sure of this?
Pressing R2 shows you the playart in this one. If you are playing with other people on your team it will show the play at the start and that's it, otherwise they have to hit R2 again to bring it up. Also when you are bringing it up the opponent CANNOT see your playart, just teammates.

Good. I knew R2 makes it go away, I just wasn't sure if the person I was playing against could see it. That makes me feel much better about things. I generally have 2 reads and I dont normally pay attention to every route, now that i know I can keep it up and focus on the big picture, thats helpful.

I won 2 in a row... my rating is 369 though... LOL I'm pretty bad. 9-12

One thing I am hoping they update is Rice and Boldin's speed. These 2 are way underrated speed wise in the game. They gave us NO speed at the weapons position, which does make it a little more difficult if you like to use the Ravens.

Q's bringing back playing both ways in the NFL.

The part of Madden that still frustrates me the most is pass rushing. Surely a quality Pass rushing Defense should be living in the backfield of an offense that can't pass protect to save it's life? Surely a Quarterback can't see my "Blindside" rusher but he just so happens to hit a check-down as my guy is bearing down on him. Surely an awful pass rushing team should get little to no pressure on a team that is stacked with quality pass protectors? Couldn't they have added a repertoir of pass rushing moves and assigned them to the right analogue stick or A/B/X/Y and actually given pass rushers signature moves? (Dwight Freeney and his spin move for instance) Moving the right analogue stick right or left to decide where your pass rusher is going gets rather boring. I'm fed up of my 90+ Overall pass rushers struggling against 70+ overall tackles.

Preach it man, Im all about pass rush and Ive hit QBs with Kindle straight in the mouth and the QB will throw a duck a foot in front of him as he gets hit and nothing happens. Suggs is a 90 with like 97 acceleration and 90+ finesse moves and your telling me he cant tear apart the Steelers Oline....even though he does every year (minus last year, but lets not talk about that lol).

Decided to try it with Auto Sprint on, and it amuses me how my finger still goes straight to the Right Trigger anyways.
Yes it does. But you'll get use to it after a while.

See that's the issue ,our fingers automatically want to hit that sprint trigger before we think about anything else. Getting rid of the sprint button helps us focus on the real task at hand. I think its a great move and running has become more "real" like.

I love how Ray Rice still can't out run an LB.... What the heck.
Yeah that does kind of piss me off. Sometimes its not even a LB. It's a DL man that gets him on a sweep - catching up to him from behind. What?

No kidding. Yet, I see other running back who arent in the same breath as Ray Rice run past TGood or Sizzle like its nothing...

I decided that this game is the most unrealistic in years when Marion Barber broke 8 tackles and out ran Eric Berry to the endzone.

Desean Jackson also effectively trucked Patrick Willis. Really? Why must they do this?

fast WR's in the flat on a soft Zone coverage almost always equals a 60+ gain. LAME. The tackles being broken on streaks down the sideline are STUPID. No way does a WR escape 4-5 plus tackles, at least not on a regular basis.

I'm not having the broken tackle problems like you guys are, really guys LAYOFF THE HITSTICK and quit your ****in! You are right about that though H8R as Rice and Boldin are far too slow. I don't know how people are having all these breakdowns, I mean the defense isn't as good in this as they are 10 but cmon. My biggest breakdown came against you H8R when you torched me on that screen and made like 4 guys look stupid.

Play the angles right, don't be flaying on the hitstick and quit your pissing and moaning.

Honestly GIVE IT TO CLUTCH CLAYTON you did something wrong if 8 out of the 11 people on the field mis-tackled.

IT'S NOT THE GAME IT'S THE GAMER, BELIEVE ME!

1 was a hit stick, 2 were defensive linemen (Ron Edwards and Tyson Jackson, Normal hits) and the rest were DBs. It was on All-Madden with the Break Tackle slider tuned up to 70 from All-Pro. To be fair, it was my 2nd day with the game and I was the freakin' Chiefs.

keep in mind the hitstick this year does more then bam , when engaged in a tackle you can use momentem against them , also you angling of the stick determines your hit style in terms of point of contact he goes high you go low you may miss or flip him its all in timing also in a one on one with out speed you can wiggle the stick sometimes you will end up with a strip

Oh wow that is good to know. I thought the hitstick was the usual up and down, didn't know anything about the angling in terms of point of contact. Wiggling the stick could also be useful.

I lucked out big time. Went to pick up a copy and there were TWo pre-owned available. I couldnt believe someone would have traded it in already, guess they really didnt like it. Anyway I get home and get to the screen where I have to enter the online pass code and Im like oh crap, it only works once, I forgot about this. Luckily they must not have used it bc it worked!!! love the game, although offense is way too easy on standard settings. Beat the panthers in pre-season 65-13 without changing anything.

Agreed. Just beat the Buccs 70-7 with the Browns. You could not have been luckier with that online code.

Didn't know about the wiggling/angling of the hit stick, I've tended to steer clear of it in this Madden now.

werd. with my edge card I only paid $40 for it at gamestop.

running the ball seems to be way too easy. I mean my o-line just manhandled their D-line. There were 2 or 3 gaping holes to choose from on nearly every play. Passing was pretty easy too. Seemed like the TE was always open within 3sec of the snap. On the other hand I had 5 or 6 balls hit DBs right in the chest or hands and no picks.

Side note: cody is a beast. made 5 TFL and 3 sacks right up the gut in one half
