Just got done playing with ATL's Offensive Playbook...

How in the heck do you guys get used to that??? I mean, I've always played with Baltimore's playbook so I've pretty much made it my own. But still. Anytime the defense goes into a dollar or dime package, it seems very stoppable. I've had to squeeze the ball in more tight windows than I like.

Flacco had 5TDs/4pickles.

Back to Ravens playbook. I miss my Ravens Trips and the unbalanced line.

That's 165 points in the regular season and 23 in the playoffs for a total of 188 points.
Hmmm. I'm well on pace then. I've posted two shut outs so far and I l've given up about 75 points (have to double check) and I'm in week....10? I'll go look and check back in later.

The funny thing is, my players are not rated as highly as I've had in previous seasons. But I do have good depth and I have subs set to nearly constant for DL and LB's. Wait, my secondary is actually amazing (nearly all 90's plus). I can draft some DB's. haha

On a side note: I started a new superstar (because my next Franchise game is against the Jets and I'm supersticious about playing before a big game). I opted to play as a rookie and chose Emmanuel Sanders. Well, because I chose him the CPU made him #1 on the depth chart, the KR/PR and for some reason put me in the safety position on FG's.

But the worst part is that my offense is horrible and we always choose the same 4-5 plays. Lots of screens (same ones) and the same 2-3 run plays. Mendy tends to get about 1 yard per carry (10 carries for 10 yards at the half) and Ben usually gets sacked about 8 times per game. It's pathetic.

I have practically the exact same problem. For that reason I next to never play superstar mode, unless I'm QB, when I can audible and change routes.

Well, I've given up 187 points with one game remaining in the regular season. Oh well.

Does anyone know if this still has good trade-in value? Getting seriously bored with it.
I think its like an american made car in the 1990s....the value drops as soon as you drive it off the lot...so Madden lost 50% of its value as soon as you walked out of Gamestop lol

To answer your question seriously, it has like 15 dollar value I think. My buddy traded in Madden 11, Mafia 2, Godfather 2, and some other game so that he could get Black Ops for free.

Ouch, I don't think I could ever trade in 4 games for 1, I'd just cough out the 60 bucks, especially when those first 3 games you mentioned are really good games.

You are correct about the trade in value though, games that come out yearly are pointless to trade in, it might even be closer to 10-12 dollars.

I`m up to like 30 fricken PS3 games ha.

Question, has anyone tried creating a player or several players and do you know how many total players you can create? I know last year it was very limited and it was a pain trying to create the rookies on Madden 10. The reason I ask is because I'm cleaning up the rosters now a little to prepare for the off-season and moving players around, and I'm going to create the rookies once again.

The one thing I do like is the fact there is a bunch of rookies who are nobodies that have no picture on teams that can save you from using the CAP feature for rookies. I have found a bunch of rookies and placed them in Free Agency to use for when the rookies get drafted.

I ended up getting 27 dollars in store credit for it. That surprised the hell out of me.

Probably been discussed here before, but hopefully someone can help me.
Sometimes I'll be playing, it'll freeze momentarily just like it does when someone quits. Then it says "lost connection to peer" or whatever and gives me option to "quit" or not quit/cancel whatever, that just takes me right back to the quit screen. It doesn't give me the option to quit and count or don't count. AND it counts as a quit and a loss for myself!!! Now I would think that this is my modem losing connection momentarily, but I've looked and I still am connected to Xbox Live. And it has only happened when I am winning. Yes this IS in the 2nd half, sometimes almost the end of the game.
So my question: is there some kind of glitch people are using when they want to quit so it doesn't count against their losses and/or DNF%? If there is, I don't want to know it, I may join these cheaters then lol. But I would like to know if such a thing exists, and if so, if it can be countered so at the very least it doesn't count against my DNF or loss.

Alright here she goes:

I decided to start a franchise on All Madden difficulty and simulated the first 2 seasons to get to the draft to address some needs (I wanted to totally rebuild the defense/ WR unit). I had the 18th overall pick in the first draft, traded down to the 23rd(or something like that) as well as an extra 3rd. Heres who I got(keep in mind I do the NCAA import):

2011Class...................................................2012Class
1st- Stefen Wiesnewski-76 overall.........................1st-Aaron Williams- 79overall
2nd- Julio Jones- 72 overall..............................2nd-Jon Baldwin- 73overall
3rd- Greg Jones- 71 overall.............................3rd-LaMichael James-68overall
3rd- Etienne Sabino (OLB Ohio St)- 70 overall.............4th-DT Michigan- 65 overall
4th- Titus Young- 59 overall(might have reached lol)......5th- SS Florida- 56 overall
5th- Orlando Franklin (OG)................................6th- OT Cal- 61 overall
6th- DT from BYU

Lineup

Baldwin........Oher/Grubbs/Wiesnewski/Yanda/Gaither..Dickson......Jones/Boldin
......................................Flacco.............
...............................................McClain..
........................................Rice..

.....................Ngata/Cody/Kruger........................
.............Suggs.....Jones...Lewis.......Kindle.....
Williams.....................................................Webb/Wilson
...............Reed....................Zbikowski.......

I made 3 coaching changes, hired Jeff Fischer as my DC(+1 awareness, +1 toughness, +1 stamina to everyone), hired Norv Turner as my DC(+1 QB deep throw, +1short throw, +1medium throw), and for some unknown reason Dom Capers accepted my offer to be my STs coordinator lol (+2 block shed to every LB). So I use Capers playbook on D, and Turners playbook on O.

Pretty decent couple of drafts. Played Week 1 and 2 against the Raiders and Eagles, lost to the Raiders 28-24, and beat the Eagles 35-32. All Madden is beyond ridiculously hard, you can't run the ball without a FB and unless you catch the CPU with only 1 LB on the field in a zone coverage. If the CPU presses your WRs in man cov your screwed. And you have to blitz at least 5 to stop the run, and you have to hit the HB face up to have any hope of stopping him. CPU HBs run through your Dline like its cheese, I lost the Raider game cuz run DMC ran for 160 against me. Pass rush in non existent so I've gone to overloading gaps (not edges) to hurry the QB, Kindle is my best front 7 player, he never misses a tackle and leads my team with 3 sacks in 2 games.

I remember you asking why Kindle always felt faster than Suggs in the game despite Suggs having better acceleration and speed, I think the main reason is because of the 10 less pounds Kindle has and his pursuit hits 99 in his 3rd year I believe.

How do you import draft classes, I've always wondered that.

I'm in the 3rd year with my '2000 Ravens team' already, and with Ngata at DT in a 4-3 he is basically unstoppable, lead my team with 26 sacks last 2 years.

26 sacks in 2 years lol his bad.

You have to rent NCAA 11, and then start a dynasty with any team you want and sim through an entire year but then do the off season stuff manually. Right after the part when players are leaving staying or transferring you get asked if you want to export the draft class to madden.

You can find walk throughs on youtube as well. I prefer doing the NCAA way for the draft cuz the players are actually real.

I remember a buddy of mine did this for me two years ago when Percy Harvin and Michael Crabtree were coming out, and I got both for the Ravens lol. It's pretty sweet, but what do you do for the next year? Just draft Madden players?

No you can keep doing it from NCAA as long as you want, you just have to keep simulating seasons in NCAA lol. I usually only do 3 or 4 seasons worth of NCAA guys because after that they become computer generated freshman, and I rarely play over 4 years in a single franchise. My Julio Jones and Stefen Wiesnewski, Jon Baldwin and Aaron Williams picks were from 2 different draft classes.

Oh ok, I'll have to this for both NCAA '12 and Madden '12. But that lineup is pretty damn sweet, I have to admit lol.

I never thought about renting it. Hmmm.

But don't you have to give all these guys names? Or do they come into the draft with their names?

It's not a bad idea to rent NCAA. I've just started using Blockbuster online to rent games, quicker, cheaper and 1000 times better than Gamefly.

No you can download the file made from Operation Sports and there's people that do all the renaming to the real players. Only way you get it with the names because of issues so NCAA will never have the college players names, just "# 10" on the back that's it. The only work you have to do is look at the list of Underclassmen who declared and change those players to Seniors so they leave and can be apart of your draft class in the first year.

God, Madden is too easy. I've gone undefeated the past 3 seasons, Flacco's been the MVP every season, Boldin's gone over 1000 yards every season, so did Mason before he retired and Pierre Garcon (who I got to replace Mason).

Need to adjust those settings. The thing that ticks me off is when I keep winning when I sim. I'll sim 8 games and lose one maybe two. Then I'll play 8 games and lose one maybe two. 12-4 nearly every year and my games are not always easy.

I've been using Playmakers sliders from OperationSports, been looking into some new sliders lol
I'm 3-0 in my 30th year (decided to play every game), but I am struggling!! I gave up 300 yards on the ground to two RB's in one game (Browns) and I'm struggling to run it myself. Main reason I'm able to win is because of ST's TD's, forced turnovers and pick sixes.

I actually beat the Bengals 17-14 and I never scored an offensive TD. It's intense, but I don't like not being able to run the ball.

Has anyone drafted the WR at of UCLA named Ahmad Nevel? Hes 6'-3" 200 some pounds with 92 speed and 81 awr. The guys a beast, he catches everything. I throw so much to him now that I get like 250 yrds per game on average. Most of the throws I throw to him are deep balls because hes so good with the deep passes. I recomend this guy to anyone. He was in the draft after my first season.
