What's a "nano" A gap blitz?
Basically people stack linebackers or safeties to go up the A gap. Since the A.I. can only pick up one person, there will be linebackers freely and easily getting to your backfield through the A gap. I hope I explained it good enough, I don't use it. Cheap move. =/

Ya what Envy said, its a Madden cheapie. Press the receivers, and throw like 5 guys at the A and B gaps and rush 7 everytime in a cov 0. Ive played guys that for whatever reason my WRs cant break the press, EVER.

To defeat it, screen the hell out of them with your RB in the shotgun. They will get beat every time especially if they blitz safeties also.

Or do it the old fashioned way and boring way and have extra blockers. Yes it is that cheap and I almost wanna quit every time someone does it. You can barely hand off to your running back.

haha I don't even know how to do it succesfully. Whenever I try it and send the blitz up the middle I usually get torched with a pitch or an outside run. About half of my turnovers come from one single blitz in the nickel package.

Did Madden come out in the States earlier than in Canada...if so thats just another thing to add to list of Canada getting boned lol
I guess it really bugs Canada when American teams win the Stanley Cup too, eh?

Not really considering most teams are made up of about half Canadians, we get to see the Stanley Cup either way. This past summer Stanley passed through 2 towns of me within 4 hours each in Winnipeg(Toews) and Thunder Bay(Sharp), if Philly had won it it would've taken 2 trips through 2 towns within 2 hours each of me Kenora(Richards) and Dryden(Pronger) so we get the best of both worlds really.

But this is all for another topic.

So after todays game I see Flacco and a few players on defense getting an increase in stats but our O-Line will take a hit I believe for allowing four sacks today.

They need to just make Ngata and Reed a 99 already.

and give Cundiff some respect already! Raise his potential should be increased to a B and his OVR should be between 75-79.

It's stupid how they change the rosters like every two days.

They change it every Friday

Still struggling with sliders. I played All Madden and it was a little strange: I won 48-38. I could NOT stop their running game and they could not stop my pass. I could not run either. PR/KR's are still easy. I'm making tiny adjustments in the hopes of having a competitive CPU match up.

I've also noticed that the CPU comes out playing hard in the 1st qtr then fades in the 2nd and 3rd and then, depending on the score, rallies int he 4th for one MAYBE two scores.

All Madden is fun, but not very realistic.

yeah they change it weekly which is stupid, and the worst part is the rosters aren't live. Like When I enter Franchise, Randy Moss was never a Patriot or Viking, he's a Titan from week 1! I would like to see live Updates in Franchise Mode where they have some coding where in Week X Moss is traded to the Vikings, than a few weeks later he gets released and signs with the Titans. That's my only issue with the Roster Updates they aren't live.

I'm on the way to the same deal with my Rams fantasy team. Got Freeman under center, Roddy White, Dwayne Bowe and Danny Amendola (Amendola is fantastic in the slot) as my wide outs, Chris Cooley at tight end, and Deangelo Williams and Brandon Jacobs as my running backs.

Defense isn't shabby either:
Ernie Sims, Curtis Lofton and Shaun Phillips as my linebackers. Ray Edwards, Brandon Graham, Paul Soliai, and Collin Cole on the line. Then Devin McCourty, Cedric Griffin, Patrick Robinson, Kerry Rhodes, and Eric Berry in the secondary.

Nice, what made you go with the Rams? That is a scary team on offense, I went more to the defensive side of the ball with the Silver and Black Raiders.

Offense - Vick, Megatron, Crabtree, Mendenhall, Spiller, D.Thomas(slot), Oher, Mack, Davin Joseph, and no name TE's

Defense - Reed, Berry, B.Sanders, Flowers, S.Smith, Raji, Dockett, Odrick, Timmons, R.McClain, Kindle and Misi.

Was looking to take one of the struggling teams and see what I could do with them and a fantasy draft. Plus, I've always had a soft spot for St. Louis. I tried using Vick before, and I dunno, I don't like his throwing motion, it feels... slow to me. I ended up running with him more than throwing which made me feel cheap lol

My weakness in fantasy drafts is that I wait to take offensive linesmen. Usually, my offensive line starters are all mid to high 70's. Although, they're usually young guys with upside, although I got pinned picking up Jamar Nesbit for my Rams team, and he's in his 10th year.

You've got quite the front seven with the Raiders. Kindle, McClain, Timmons, and Misi is a absolutely solid linebacker corp, and that's a great line in front of them.

Safety is the... what's the word... easiest position to draft on the defense. The computer usually waits to pick safeties after the elite guys are gone. Meriweather, Rhodes, Branch, Chung, Berry last quite a while. Taylor Mays has also proven very effective on my team when I drafted him before.

My Packers fantasy team had Schaub throwing to Megatron, Dez Bryant, Robert Meachem and Aaron Hernandez. I was putting up ridiculous numbers...

Yea I usually forget about the lineman too, but I couldn't this time because I wanted a good run game, so I was lucky to get 3 studs basically(Guy Whimper at LG and Loadholt at RT are the others). The draft really fell perfect for me picking at 16 and you sure are right, the computers nit pick the defensive line before they go for the safeties which is how I got Reed, Sanders and Berry. I took Sanders real late in the draft and felt why not just pick him up instead of selecting a corner who's a high 70 or something. I still ended up with decent corners with Fabian and Bruce Johnson as the other two. I use Berry as a nickelback and SS when Sanders is not in. Vick does also have a slow release but I think his throwing power makes up for it, almost put up 1000 yards rushing with Vick but fell 100 yards short.

Dockett led my team on the season as well with 16 sacks(no one else was even double digit) Kindle and Odrick both had 8, and Timmons and Reed led for INT's tying with 6.

Yeah, my running game slightly suffers thanks to the line lol (Levi Jones - Jamar Nesbit - John Sullivan - Chris Chester - Phil Loadholt). Williams is still tearing it up though, his elusiveness definitely helps get around those defenders.

Vick's motion made all my throws feel like I was floating them down field

Oh wow, haha good thing you can pick up some stud lineman in the draft usually and at least you got Williams because speed and moves kill in this game and he has both, he's one of the funner backs to use in Madden.

Vicks big arm really works well going deep with Megatron, if there is no safety help I can basically send him over the top for a completion every time. I use Calvin as the deep guy, Crabtree as the underneath, and go to the TE usually on check-down. Calvin finished with 1500 yards haha, Mendenhall only at 1000 rushing

PLus, I figure Loadholt and Sullivan could progress nicely in the offseason to make them more effective next season... in addition to whoever I may draft or sign.

True, I think Loadholt goes up to around 83 after a season. If there are no good options for LT you could always just shift him over to that side and pickup a RT.
