I need some clarification from other players.

I'm playing on All Madden against the CPU and cannot run the ball at all. I'll get 15 attempts and muster only 20-30 yards. I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong because I was being stuffed in the backfield or tackled immediately as I got to the LOS. So I played a couple games (Ravens/Patriots & Titans/Colts) since I figured to use two great RBS that have excellent offensive lines. After watching the replays on most of the snaps, I noticed that it wasn't anything wrong with my RB or play calling, but rather that none of my blocks were holding up. The NT would easily just shove my Center to the side and tackle my RB if I run up the middle. My FB would completely run past the opposing blitzer unless I ran towards that person and he shifted directions, but that doesn't help since I would have to run through the wrong seam. If I ran to the outside my TE/WR would either not pickup the block of the LB/CB or just get pushed aside easily resulting in me having to beat the tacklers with speed, but that doesn't hold up when there is little room to run to the outside. I tried doing the strategy pad with OL shifts and blocking, but that still had no affect.

So I was wondering if anybody as any advice on this? Is there something I have to do to adjust my blocking scheme so my lineman aren't getting shoved away easily resulting in my RB having to face 2-3 guys before he even touches the ball? Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, sounds like the stupidity of All-Madden, that's why I don't even bother playing on that skill level because it isn't realistic whatsoever. All-Pro with adjusted sliders is really the way to go.

Kindle and Suggs at DE and Ngata at DT is cheating. So much pressure. Good thing we have such good linebacker depth in this game.

Well, I've come to the conclusion that it's not Welker himself who's unstoppable on the Patriots in the game. It's whoever is at that spot on the field. Why do I think this? Because since Branch joined the Pats, he's doing the exact same thing to me that Welker was doing when Moss was on the team. 10 Catches, 139 Yards, 2 TDs...

I try to make sure there is someone in the flats or drop a DE back to stop them and make sure I got the middle covered. Also I do nothing but press coverage.

I have been receiving hate mail all day in this game. I'm on a 4 and 0 streak since getting used to my new way of using the Ravens in the 4-6. People have been calling me every name in the book and it really hurts my self esteem. lol

The 4-6 seems 3x harder to play against when Reed is the one safety back. That's what I will do as well, in the 4-6 I have Suggs on the line, then I put both Kindle and Suggs and the DE spots in the nickel and dime and kick Ngata inside. In the dime I will even put Kruger on the line beside Ngata at DT.

Ok, Donte Stallworth CANNOT catch in this game if the defender is like 3 inches away from him. Even if they don't touch him he drops it.

The Ravens are disgusting in the 4-6. JJ is too slow to be a 4-6 backer and Suggs is fast enough but he is terrible in man and zone coverage so I put them on the line with Ngata and Cody.(Beast Defensive line) I have Kindle/Gooden and McClain at outside backer and my corners Foxworth, Washington and Wilson as my 3 corners. At safety, I have Ed as a strong Safety and Webb/Hamlin at FS. No Zibby because Hamlin/Webb have better zone and man coverages and I put alot of pressure so you have to be able to cover well.

I use McClain, Lewis, JJ as my backers in the 4-6, Suggs-Ngata-Gregg-Kindle on the line, Landry as my safety in the box.

In my Superstar mode, I have to keep an eye on the TE whenever Suggs is in coverage because the TE will always be wide open.

Lol yeah I know so leaving Suggs and JJ to be in coverage will be a liability because Suggs cannot cover and JJ is too slow. That's why I put them on the line and leave the TE covering to Kindle, Gooden, and McClain. Webb at free safety is good at times he's not very aware in Madden so when I feel like being safe I put Hamlin there. He's good in zone and man coverage and is more aware than Webb but I like Webb there cause he's good in zone and man and he is sure to pick it off if he gets his hands on it along with Reed.

This is the reason I love having him on the line, he his fast and can catch the QB if he rolls out, which a TON of people do online.

No doubt, Kindle and Suggs on the edges in my sub packages with Ngata inside and then I mix up the other DT. And if the guy is a scrambler I audible the rush to the outside and keep him in the pocket, if he scrambles he runs right into either Kindle or Suggs. PS does anyone else find Kindle faster in the game despite Suggs having better acceleration and speed ratings?

Frames and weight affect movement in game which is why Kindle is faster in the game, probably has a lot more agility as well. Suggs acceleration make him one of the best to use on the Dline because he gets off the snap so fast.

Woo. I just had a close game. This guy had the Saints and I was losing 13 to 7. Drove down field though and Boldin came through everytime I threw it to him. Won 14 to 13 when I stopped him on defense. The game before that I beat the guy 23 to 13. So I improve to 14 and 7. =)

I use 4-6 so much so I can't have a slow linebacker or one who is terrible in covering so I put both JJ and Suggs on the line and Kindle at outside lb. JJ is great in the flats though.

I noticed that the kicking meter is almost in perfect time with the beginning of Crazy Train....almost, and it screws me up if I pay too much attention to the song while kicking. Just one of those quirks.

Anybody every play against a guy who uses the Patriots and goes max protect and to the deep post? Its a glitch in the game even when you go man up 2 deep because the backside safety doesnt drop and lets the WR go overtop of him, and the cutting across of the deep post leaves the guy in man coverage a step behind. I ended up spanking his *** 31-7 cuz Id just drop with Lewis and lay him out when he was going to catch the ball. He surprised me once doing it and then he got behind by 2 scores and then thats all he tried to do.

I don't think the Nano has ever happened to me online, but it has happened against friends. Put together a nice little streak online, crushed some guy who used the Rams with the Lions, put up 65 pts with all my scores going to Megatron and Jahvid Best, then the last game held the Vikings to 6 points while I put up 4 scores.

EA says it's apart of the game and happens in real life so they allow it. I don't care what anybody says, that is abusing A.I.

In real life offensive lines adjust and rushers don't get in every time they do it. It's a glitch and they need to fix it.

Ya its a nano A gap blitz, slide your protection either way and you should be able to combat it. Leave a HB or a TE in to protect and you should be alright.

Has anyone put Moss on the Titans yet?

You know what I don't like about the Madden Roster Updates... they aren't "Live." Say I download the newest roster update and it has Moss on the Titans, and thus from the very beginning in Week 1 Moss is Titan even though he was a Patriot when he started the season, and was traded to Minnesota, released and picked up by the Titans. I don't understand how EA couldn't put in some code where even though in when not in Franchise, Moss is a Titan but when you start a Franchise Moss starts out in NE, traded to the Vikings and in Week 9 Moss would be picked up by the Titans to keep things realistic.

That would make things so much easier and more realistic.
