As expected, this game's gotten boring now that it's just backups. This game is, perhaps, a glaring example of both teams' lack of depth, particularly with how low the score is despite the yards being given up. There's been some decent gains, particularly by the Cowboys' backup offense, but not many points to show for it.

Then again, it [i]is[/i] just the first game of preseason.

I'm paying more attention to the trenches than the skill players, largely because the skill players on both teams have been garbage tonight.

I'm still seeing deficiencies in the Bengals O-line, so it should be a cause of concern for them that their starters [i]and[/i] backups are getting mauled.

Any one see that shanked field goal by the Cowboys new kicker? It may have been another kicker competing (wasn't paying much attention), but it looks like the Cowboys kicking woes might leak into this upcoming season.

It's not something that the Bengals can't fix with time, but I'm not too optimistic that they'll be able to develop chemistry so quickly since they see the Patriots in Week 1 and our boys in Week 2. They'll get a reprieve for the games leading up to the bye week, but then the pressure picks right back up with a Falcons defense that I think will make huge strides in 2010.
