Sorry I can't stand Urlacher I think people think he is alot better then he really is....

well think about it 9 tackles for a loss...and their defense was still good without tommie harris and brian urlacher...

he did shutdown defense to RBs in just about every game...not in the superbowl joseph addai was runnin him over but still

against stephen jackson he was stuffin him...no LB shut down Stephen Jackson like that

people run over Lance Briggs all the time...and yes the do despite what people think he just has those big plays so its ignored but he really isnt that great of a tackler

however Urlacher its pretty damn hard to run at him....and in the cold he is like a lion a monster..thats why no one likes to go up to chicago in the cold

Glad to see someone else call Briggs overrated.

Urlacher is unbelievably quick and he makes good reads. He's a better linebacker than I usually give him credit for.

yes...ive looked back on some chicago games...hes definately not worth the trouble hes causing

especially when you have urlacher

hes a monstrous hitter in the middle

i noticed how the same back would get shut down running at urlacher and could run over briggs

some say urlacher is overrated for not taking on blocks because DTs do it for him

1-thats their job

2-ok in 2001 he had traylor and washington and was a beast

how about when tommie harris was out...he was still good...ofcourse not that the bears DTs now are as good at that as traylor and washingon

I'd say right now Urlacher is better as well. Not a knock on Ray Lewis but it's just the facts.

As far as Merriman I know people get on him for the whole suspension thing and rightfully so, but seriously nobody hardly wants to put him as a top 10 linebacker? Drop him some spots yes but with the exception of Baltimore, I think any other team would definitely take him in a heartbeat for what he provides.

No exception. I think Baltimore would use him to replace AD in a heartbeat. Imagine a guy that demands double coverage on one side and Merriman on the other. Yeah that's right T-Suggs gets props first!

Yeah, but the use of steroids has been legitimized in baseball. Look at all the glory and cash that McGuire and Sammy Sosa got for 'roiding up. The widespread use of steroids to create homerun derbies was part of baseball's plan to save the sport after the strike devastated it. It broke my heart, since as a Canadian, I hate baseball.

Really, I don't think there's any chance that Merriman will get off the 'roids. He'll just have to get better at masking them.

what shawn merriman did makes me hope that extreme stuff you see in health class videos happens to him...

we thought he was great....and then he does the steroids
