My ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues

Since everyone else is doing it, I'd like to get some opinions. The first league is a 10 non ppr team league I basically autopicked for, I put down 30 players I would want in autopick. So its a little weird sometimes.

qb-Brees, Romo, Kolb (told you it was weird, trying to trade Romo for Calvin)

rb-Charles, Grant, Jerome Harrison, Ben Tate

wr-Crabtree, Johnny Knox, Chaz Schilens, TO, Malcolm Floyd, Kevin Walter

te-Jason Witten

defense-Giants d

10 team, ppr

qb-Romo, Matt Ryan, Brett Favre (what a steal, got him 4th to last round)

rb-Ray Rice, Ryan Mathews, Felix Jones, Marion Barber, Ben Tate

wr-Calvin, Crabtree, Mike Sims-Walker (sorry I forgot him before), TO, Kevin Walter

te-Jermichael Finley

defense- Dolphins d

My second team is obviously better. But how about that for an autodraft, not bad. But my second team I could trade Favre if he comes back for a top player.

I understand these were autopicked. But the QB's on both teams are too overstacked.

If you have a top 7 guy, you really don't need to draft a backup QB until the 3rd to last round, or not at all.

If you have a mid range QB, then you should pick up only 1 other mid range QB, so that you play whoever has the best matchup.

Now if you drafted your first QB very, Very late, like a Henne or Campbell. Then you can think about loading up on 3 QBs, like adding Young, Stafford, etc.

But any team with a Romo, Ryan & Favre is going to be deficient in some other area.

I see your point, but I was going with best available and highest upside at the time. I could have kept grabing late flyer recievers but I thought Ryan and Favre were very good picks and better than any other pick I could have made. Favre was one of my last picks but you can't doubt his upside is great.

I like having two very good qbs for matchups. Romo plays a lot of good defenses and if Favre or Ryan plays a weak defense one week the I really like the option to play either one. If Favre doesn't retire I will probably trade him. But I could get a trade for a 4th round player for Favre who I drafted in the 13th round. Very good deal. And its not like I'm really hurting at any other position on that team. WR lacks a little depth but overall very good team

Good point on the Favre trade Lowrider. In the late rounds of any fantasy draft, you're taking risky players with maybe a high ceiling, but I feel like you did great with this pick. I believe in my heart that Favre will be back. Even if you do have a top 5 Qb, I still think you need at least one Qb for depth at all times, just look at Tom Brady's fantasy owners after his injury. Won't even talk about the auto-draft, because that was the computers work. You do lack in recieving department, but with a Favre trade, you can easily make up for that.

Well the autodraft was kind of my work. When a draft is launched you can put players in order for autopick. So those are most of my players I wanted. But I probably would have drafted a little different if I was there. This league didn't cost anything anyway so its no biggie.

I also forgot I have Mike Sims-Walker for my second team. Which changes my depth at wr a little now I think about it
