Pats Fans Petition Nfl

26 posts in this topic

They are the last people I would expect to be complaining about a team possibly cheating.

Actually, they aren't complaining that the Giants cheated, but rather poor clock managament by the league. Either way it's unfounded and ridiculous and you're correct to say that they have no business in complaining about ANYTHING.

do they actually think this is going to change anything? just sour grapes to me.

on another note, its funny as hell seeing them come up with things like this.

I meant to say complaining about being cheated, but yeah...I lost all respect for them when they challenged that play when one of the Giant's defenders was running off the field in order to get that penalty.

*sigh*

So, they (the Pats fans) mean to tell us (the rest of the world) that the last 1:40 should be replayed, or that the NFL should award the Patriots the victory, because of ONE officiating error? A game that was played over a week ago?

19-0 or not, that's just...stupid. It was already stupid enough when I heard that the NBA will force the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks to replay the final 51.9 seconds of their game from December 19th, to be held before their next meeting on March 8th.

I understand the stakes involved and all, but we didn't ask for a replay of the final minute of the Monday Night Football game against New England, now did we? Or a replay of the final play of Fieldgoal-gate/Dawsongate/whatever against the Browns?

The ending to both games dramatically changed the season for the Ravens, whereas, the Patriots fans are complaining about a loss in a game that they had the privilege of even witnessing.

I mean, not only was that arguably one of the greatest Super Bowls in NFL history, but Patriots fans should be happy that they were even able to brag about being in the Super Bowl, unlike the 30 other fanbases that were denied that joy for another year.

<_<

This one is hysterical:

16455. Buffalo Bill - "IT PUTS THE LOTION ON ITS SKIN OR ELSE IT GETS THE STRAHAN AGAIN."

Of over 16,000 signatures only about 200-300 are legit.

That's great. Didn't Seahawks fans do the same thing when they lost to you guys in the worst SuperBowl I ever watched? (No offense)

Seahawks fans actually had a real beef. Ben did not score on that goal line TD. Pats fans are just embarressed that they went 18-1.

I beg to differ.

Pats fans act like they are entitled to win because they are the "dynasty" of this era. Personally, I found it a bit coincidental that the Patriots, whose colors are Red, White, and Blue, started to win at a time when American Patriotism was at its highest, that being right after 9/11. I wouldnt put it past any big bussiness, especially sports bussiness, to attempt to capatilize on that situation. If you look at the way the Patriots got to and won that first Superbowl, it was almost like the NFL handed it to them. Come on, when had the oh so famous "tuck rule" ever been enforced before that game against the Raiders.

This, I totally agree with. This is also what makes watching them suffer so much sweeter.

Replaying the last 1:40 is the stupidest thing i have heard. But unfortunately the Pats do have a right to be pissed because of the pass interference that plaxico got away with all game. Sounds like Moss getting away with pass interference in the Ravens secondary. What goes around comes around.
