Change Ravens Fight Song?

I personally like the current fight song. I was interested on why they want to change it, I read that they wanted the crowd to be more into the new fight song but honestly there is few fan bases that have a good fight song.
And for those of you who want a change to the fight song do you honestly see yourself singing that song after a score?

No, I'm singing it. And I'm not caring about the Baltimore Colts so I really don't care what they do with it. Honestly, the band is annoying to me.

I voted along with so many others to make that change - to give the old fight song a twist.

I also state here that the main reason I became interested in the Ravens was due to Baltimore's Marching Ravens, as well as Messrs. Lewis and Flacco. These are what make the Ravens that much more of a team to me.

I don't want to sing a whole verse after a score. I just want Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll pt. 2" to come on.... so the entire stadium can chant "HEY.... YOU SUCK!"

But honestly... the fight song is a lot like the National Anthem. It's just not the same unless everyone sings. I'd love for the entire stadium to sing the anthem when it's played by it never happens.
As for the 2 choices... I like the lyrics to the current fight song better, but I like the rhythm/beat of the newly proposed song more.

I like the current one! I'll never forget the first time I heard it! I thought it was AWESOME... THe band part though, not so much the lyrics.

Seriously though I'm not a Baltimore Colts fan. I'm a Baltimore Ravens fan. We started a new tradition and I don't wanna go back to the Colts ways. I would take Ed Reed and Ray Lewis over Peyton any day.

I know its just a song but I for one do not want to recognize a team that left this city. That's like toasting your dad at a wedding when he left you when you were like 3 lol.

the Marching band has been apart of the ravens since forever...BUT!!!!...this year is a year of change...and I just sense that there will be alot of scoring and alot of Celebration this year so after Anquan or Stallworth or Mason or Ray Rice or Willis McGahee or Mclain or Heap or Dickson or Pitta scores IM GONNA WANNA DO MY DANCE!!!!!!!!!! and i jus dont think i can cut my step to the marching band this year...it jus wont work!! (i love them tho!) they make for a great halftime show...but i think this year we should jus pick a popular song (THATS ABOUT CELEBRATING) blast it through the big speakers in the stadium and jus enjoy the added six points on the board. i know i am..whether im at home or in the stands IM DOIN MY DANCE!!!!!!!

For all you people that aren't as ancient as me, I can remember hearing that old Colts song on the radio all the time, growing up. It reminds me too much of the late fifties and early sixties. Sitting around on Sunday nights, after listening to the game on the radio, watching tv on our old Philco set. You know the one! Black & white with the 6" x 4" screen watching The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Ahhh, the bygone days, goodbye and be gone. In all seriousness, if they want the fans to become more involved, they need to come up with something that's hard driving and heart pumping. Never been much on big band, even if they do march!

Yeah I've never cared for the Marching Band. Im a Baltimore Ravens fan. I watch football, I dont go for the music, I dont go for the cheerleaders (they are appealing for timeouts and stoppage) but I am a FOOTBALL fan. Could careless if we had a band.

The problem with the marching band is that this isn't college football, and the connection to the teams in Pro football just isn't quite the same. Most of the fans in college love the fight songs at their schools because they are alums or have children that attend there or are currently attending themselves. The band just simply isn't connected to the NFL like it is in college. The old song shouldn't be touched, and the new one is kind of cheesy.

If any song is going to be sung by the majority of the stadium, it has to be respectable to the other team and arranged to a song style that the average fan base can accept.

I love and support the band 110%, and the Ravens Fight song melody is fine but the words need some work, I too remember the old [b][color="#800080"]BALTIMORE[/color][/b] Colt fight song and can sing it still.

Good Lord. I've been to the three most recent Ravens @ Dolphins games and I make fun of that song to jerks in the stands. Miami Dolphins Number One! Its really sad. The "first down" chant is even better to make fun of in the recent games. We'd say "Thats another Miami Dolphins FOURTH DOWN". Im realizing Im a total[i] <jerk>.[/i] I'm going to conveniently forget about the the time I was there for the only win we gave them one year.....

These fight songs just make me wanna fight the people who wrote them.

How bout they just get rid of the band? All their marching does is ruin the crowds mood. This isn't college/1954. I think we can live without some band kids playing music nobody wants to hear. Oh and while they're at it, they can get rid of the cheerleaders. They just clutter the sidelines and block peoples view of the game.

I would rather have a dominating performance on the field do the talking and speak in volumes.
