First Thing You Do With Madden 11

23 posts in this topic

Ok guys with Madden 11 being released next week, when you get the game what is the first thing you guys are going to do? I'll tell you what I'll do when I get it:

- Look at the Default Rosters to see how messed up it is(or out of date I should say) to see if I have to wait for the 1st roster update to start a Franchise.

- I'll manually update the rosters myself first since it will be a while before the Opening Day Roster comes out.

- I'll begin a "Test" Franchise, where I'll sim everything and get to the off-season to see how bad the AI Signing Logic is seeing if people who would get contracts in real life get released in Free Agency in Madden.

- Than after all that depending on how bad the default roster is, I'll either start a real Franchise, or just go to Play Now and play a couple games until the opening day roster is released.

I always look at the default rosters for accuracy, too. I even go so far as to see how the player models look and whether their proper faces were scanned and included.

Then, I just mess around in a throwaway Franchise until the opening day rosters come out, where I then restart completely.

Honestly doubt I ll get it if it ends up being anything like the demo. Even with conventional play calling on the game was very lackluster.

First thing I do is check out the rosters and change the settings to match my preferences. This year I'll be waiting for the option to disable the Strategy Pad that EA is going to include around the start of the season.

Play each one of my friends who's teams consist of: the Seahawks, the Titans, the Vikings, the 49ers and the Bucs, then boost up my confidence by going undefeated.

I honestly can't wait for this Madden to come out. I mean we have Q, Mason, Stallworth, Heap, Dickson, Pitta, McGahee, McClain and I haven't even mentioned Rice yet. The Ravens offenses in past Maddens were damn near impossible to control, with Clayton dropping every catch, Williams dropping every catch, Washington dropping every catch, and each one could NOT get seperation at all. I'm simply buying it for the roster update, who cares about the "flow".

See how the Ravens pass rush is on All Madden against teams with bad Olines, mediocre Olines, and high calibre Olines...then see if the Raven WRs can get separation downfield, pretty interested to see how virtual Pitta and Dickson perform, might use more 2 TE sets. The one thing that irks me the worst is playing Madden 10 on All Madden against the Steelers and getting absolutely zero pressure with a 5 man rush...makes no sense.

Put it in my pants!

Mee too!

Once I'm done that, I'm going after the trophies and eventually I'll have platinum within 2 days.

Playing in a tournament the next day, so probably trying to establish my game plan by playing random kids online.

Nerd. I could beat you.

Update rosters/depth charts.
Start a franchise and begin to adjust sliders for realism.

Then trade Polamalu to the Ravens

Trade for who??? You guys don't have anyone I (we) would be interested in. Now if they had multiple years draft picks as options then maybe.

I'm looking forward to the Online Team Play. Can't wait to get some 3on3 action going all controlling different players.

I dont get why they dont have those ... it's pretty common to see them traded in real life.

Yep. It would be especially useful during draft time, say if you wanted to move up or down a few spots.

In realtime.

I will start a fantasy draft. Draft all the way through round 30. Try and win a championship with my own team. And if the computer allows me, I'll pull a Redskin, and trade all my picks away for Andre Johnson.

I am too. After adding boldin; making stallworth, dickson and pitta, and updating the 2010 roster to this years, the offense is ridiculous. I almost always use stallworth to go deep as a number 2 WR. Boldin I have fun breaking tackles with. Even thou the ratings are not as accurate as they are for 2011, they are still pretty close.

I heard one of the game options would be a Nair Play when playing against the steelers would cause the injury of a hair monster j/k
