I remember when a similar thing happened to that guy malarchuk (sp?) , but they left him on the Ice for so long, this time they seemed to handle it better.

Yeah, he was the goalie for the Boston Bruins, and he seemed to be bleeding out on the ice forever before the trainers came out to help him.
