I think your NFC picks are a little... strange.

Chicago, Atlanta, NY and San Francisco didn't even make the playoffs last year. And you choose them over the Cowboys, Vikings, Saints and Packers?

Your AFC picks are pretty good but I'd change the Broncos to Miami or Houston.

Maybe you just don't watch the NFC? haha

I don't think we'll (the Ravens) will be the best in the AFC..

I think we will be the best team in the AFC... but I don't think we will have the best record. I think the Colts and Chargers will have a better record than us, but we have a more complete team and it will show in the postseason (hopefully).

You have some interesting predictions. Now I'm not going to make predictions yet(even though the only prediction I have made is that it will be the Ravens vs Packers in SB 45, the rest of the playoffs I'll wait on) but I'll comment on yours(the OP predictions). First, yes the Ravens are going to be good but not the top seed, I do see them being the second seed so either way we will have a Bye and a Home Playoff Game. The Bengals I would replace with the Dolphins/Texans and the Broncos for the Patriots/Texans/Dolphins/Steelers.

For the NFC, a little confusing. The Bears I don't see making a playoff run in fact I could see them end up drafting in the top 10 next year and Lovie losing his job and the Bears bringing in a new Head Coach. Atlanta I can see as a WC not division, the Saints have a great chance to repeat and keep atop the NFC South. I know everybody says the 49ers are going to win the division, but let's keep an eye on Seattle. I would replace the Giants with the Cowboys, and as for the Wildcard I would have Vikings and either Seattle/Falcons/Panthers.

For me, until we finally beat thm, I'm not placing the Ravens over the Colts. We have a legit chance for the #2 seed though IMO.

AFC
1) Colts
2) Patriots
3) Ravens
4) Raiders (I think VJax gets traded or holds out so the Chargers don't get a playoff berth)

Wildcard
1) Texans
2) Jets

1) Packers
2) Cowboys
3) 49ers
4) Falcons

1) Giants
2) Panthers

That is mine. Sorry but no Saints. Brees on Madden cover = Madden Curse for Brees. Saints arent nothing without Brees.

I think its a bit strange and early since we have yet to see a pre-season game. I know they don't count but they can be used as a tool for a more educated guess.

So True... hey who thinks we should go the Billick route and Ban the "P" Word? lol.

That was so funny yet it worked out, I mean for Brian to ban the use of the "P" Word until they got in the playoffs in 2000 was smart.

Yes, I say we just ban the "P" Word because it's like Brian said in Americas Game, Your not a Playoff team until you have earned it.... and right now have the 2010 Ravens EARNED a Playoff Spot... Not Yet.

The reason I choose Chicago is because they have a franchise QB in Jay Cutler. I think He may have had a fluke year last year. This year he will fully utilize his weapons along with Matt forte who is one of the underrated Rb's in the league.
The Giants because they have added more pro bowlers this year then most teams in the NFC. I do think that Saints may have an edge over the Falcons.

Cutler's INTs have risen every year he's in the league. He's a gunslinger and believes he can fit a pass no matter the window.

Antrel Rolle aside, what Pro Bowlers have the G-Men added that will really make an impact this year?

They also added Keith Bullick who is a pro bowl Outside linebacker?
Him and Antrell Rolle is significant upgrade to what they originally had...

Its Bulluck and he's washed up....his pro bowl appearance was 7 years ago. There should be a clause in place that requires someone to have been in the pro bowl within the last 2 or 3 years in order to call them a "Pro Bowl linebacker, safety, WR" etc....

Him and Kyle Vanden Bosch put it down for the Titans for many seasons...
He was the one making all the tackles for the Titans I don't really know what your talking about?

What is our playoff record when we start the season extremely optimistic as opposed to a bit concerned?

I have a nervous feeling about all this optimism.....
