Yeah all it keeps doing when I turn the system on is just telling me the hard disc is corrupted and it keeps restoring with no help at all. I think I got lucky because I got a phone call for a job interview on Tuesday and if I get the job I can start putting money aside for a slim PS3. I'm definitely looking at getting the slimmer model, and I'm not too worried about my files as the only thing I had was Madden 10 stuff and the recent NCAA 11 stuff on it.

I just can't believe my PS3 is acting up so close to Madden being released and after I just got through building up draft classes for Madden.

I think there is a curse with Madden and Broken PS3s. I had mine break last year right when Madden came out. Franchise had his break, now JO_75. There is something about the game which causes people and systems to get injured.

I don't know what it is but it's weird. Now of course my thing wasn't Madden but it was NCAA that broke my system because that was the last game I played on Saturday Night before I returned it back to Blockbuster. I tried playing today but couldn't play, so apparently NCAA 11 corrupted my hard drive. It won't even let me restore the system anymore when I try re-setting the system. I'm in shock that 3 of us, Franchise, you and I all have had our PS3 break right before Madden comes out. I had a game plan ready to go when I got Madden on Tuesday, edit the rosters make sure they are up to date and play a couple games with the ravens. I'm going to feel left out not being able to play Madden 11 Tuesday like everyone else.

Yeah I know. I'm glad that My PS3 is back from the dead! I had to do a hard reset than I brought up the menu that gives you 6 options and I chose restore PS3 System and even though it erased my NCAA 11 data, I'm just happy I have a PS3 to play Madden with tomorrow. My only worry now is that it may get corrupt again so I have to be careful.

Well that's good news. Sometimes hard resets do the trick. You should consider yourself lucky, unlike Franchise.

I'm telling you, if Sony simply waives that $148 repair fee without asking, they will forever be in my good graces and I'll buy a PS3 Slim much sooner than I originally planned.

As I said before, they waived the fee for my PS2 out of goodwill before, and if they do it again this time, I'll be beyond amazed.

The FedEx tracking says that the package will be delivered to my doorstep by Thursday...but, seeing as how it left Texas tonight, I can only hope that it'll be here Wednesday!...

Only if you do something really bad to it like sit it next to a Xbox 360 that passes a virus to it and causes it to break down. If you are going to sit your PS3 next to a 360, you have to wrap a condom around it for protection!
