Japanese Sci-Fi Series

Just recently, another memory from my youth has come back to haunt me - this time it's a science fiction series from Japan which aired in the States in the early-to-mid seventies.

The series was called "Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot", of which there were only 26 episodes, and I recall seeing a movie based on episodes from the series, which was a very good example of "good vs. evil" storytelling.

Do any of you remember or recall this series? I was wondering if any of you here did. i welcome your comments.

That's where i have been viewing some of it, maryland1. I was also alerted to Hulu having whole episodes of the series as well.
