Jared Gaither Carted Off Field

I also saw that on the Baltimore Sun's running blog. Although it hasn't been indicated that it's particularly serious, it might be something that'll bother him for a while, in addition to his toe injury.

Wait, that makes it 4, not 3 PARavensGirl. First, Reed. Second, Sergio. Third, Foxworth. Fourth, Gaither.

Hope this ends soon, or we may be seeing a second team Ravens squad this year. Boldin and Stallworth both better stop practicing.

I'm not going to log on here for a few weeks, watch ESPN, talk to my buddies or do anything else Ravens related. Its like watching the news (which I stopped doing 10 years ago since everything is negative with the drugs, killings, robbings etc...)

"Gaither was just cramps, people. He should be fine."

Whew. At least we dodged one bullet of three.

Ok I'm glad to hear that. I was going to suggest that if Gaither was going to be out for a while we call Willie Anderson to see if he wants to come back as insurance but now I don't have to. Just get healed up and ready for the season Opener Jared, we'll need you.

I woke up this morning and read about Foxy going down for the season. Then I'm sitting in Quaker Steak and Lube eating dinner and what do I see on the ticker on the TV? Baltimore Ravens OT Jared Gaither carted off field with an "apparent back injury". Of course my mind goes straight to the worst case scenario, after all ESPN just said the man was carted off the field with a back injury. I get back home to find out it was only cramps.

This has been one hell of an off season.

We have some unfortunate and unpredictable moments, but practice has to go on. If we can unvoid fast pace, hard hitting, and full speed practice, we can definitely know how to survive even nastier situation when the season starts and hopefully we can all can stay healthy until playoff like the Saints did last year. Ravens defintitely got me and my family's prayer to stay healthy and play 16 games with lesser injuries.

hey AsianRice

Just fyi
We were really messed up by the Dallas game.

we lost by 7pts by a sack on the cowboy 40. We wanted the Cowboys for the playoffs, so we could wipe them of the face of the earth for all the bragging they did after beating 1/2 of our starting team. But the vikings did that for us. Almost our entire OL was out for that game.

Saints vs Cowboys

Saints:Did not play or limited ( 2 quarters)

DT Sedrick Ellis (knee),
CB Jabari Greer (groin).
T Jermon Bushrod (thumb), imited play
G Jahri Evans (foot),
LB Scott Fujita (knee),
C Jonathan Goodwin (ankle),
K Garrett Hartley (right hip),
DE Bobby McCray (back),
LB Marvin Mitchell (hamstring),
G Carl Nicks (back),
CB Tracy Porter (knee),
TE Jeremy Shockey (toe),
T Jon Stinchcomb (knee),
RB Pierre Thomas (hip), imited play
LB Jonathan Vilma (knee),
S Usama Young (hip)
RB Mike Bell (wrist, knee),
WR Lance Moore (ankle, hamstring)
S Darren Shaper ( ankle )Limited play

Our 1st string secondary was out for 6-7 games late in the year, and we had to hire guys like Mckenzy off the street to cover our secondary vs the Patriots. I wouldn't say its so much a hope to keep healthy, I think we were the 2-3rd most injuries in the NFL last year. I think its more important to have Depth. So 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string must be decent. Hope that helps.

If it was only cramps, then why are they doing blood work on him? According to Harbs, they are doing blood work and more tests on Monday? When I used to play sports and cramped up, it usually was due to the heat or I was dehydrated.
“I’d like to be able to tell you what it is, [but] I don’t know,” Coach Harbaugh said. “He’s getting blood work and they say there’s going to be some tests on him on Monday and they’ll tell us what it is. That’s all they’ve told me. They really don’t know.”
His cramps combined with his 25 lb weight loss is cause for concern, probably. They're just being cautious. His health is more important than football.
