our light secondary just got a hell of a lot lighter, wow the day is already bad personally and now this.

That's the weakest link of our team. If this holds true, we are going to have to figure out something.

Yeah this is just plain crazy. We get Washington back and Fab goes down. This is not good at all. I wonder if the FO will be forced to try and make some kind of trade now. I know we have some good depth but I dont know who could possibly step up and take the starting role. Especially covering number 1 receivers. Maybe Washington will be able to. Who knows. I kept reading the tweets about Fox walking off the field untouched. How could this have happened. I guess it will come out soon enough.

I'm waiting to hear more about this. I haven't seen any reports yet. The only think I see is that Foxworth has missed morning practice.

If this is true 105.7 the fan hasn't picked it up either. They are still talking about Buck.

From Schefter's twitter
Reports are that Ravens CB Dominique Foxworth tore his ACL and is out for the year, which is a major injury for a team short on CBs.

Wow, what are we gonna do?? Give up 49 points a game through the passing game?? I knew we should've drafted at least one corner in the draft. We have to go against the Bengals twice, Houston once, Patriots once, Saints once, and some other pretty good teams. Without a halfway decent secondary, we are shot.

You know at this point it really doesnt matter how it happened. I just want to know what the team is going to do about it. I dont think the answer can be next man up either. That just isnt going to cut it.

No!!!!!!!!

I'm a Foxworth fan, too. I liked him when he was in Denver and he was finally starting to win some Ravens fans over with his play in the second half of last year. :(

Oh wow. Like Ray said, the key to keeping our Super Bowl aspirations strong is keep injuries to the minimal down the stretch. The worst part it is we're losing them at our thinnest and weakest position. They have to do something.

This absolutely stinks guys. I wasn't thinking a Super Bowl, but deep down inside me I was getting feelings of the chance of seeing one. But now I don't even know if we can make the playoffs. I'm a Ravens fan through and through, but how in the world are we supposed to beat teams with a banged up secondary and with players that haven't even seen playing time ever?

anyone just a little more nervous about the Bengals now?
[/quote]

I am. Not just the Bengals but the league in general. I'm sure some people are going to be optimistic about our situation. But you can't say that CB isn't a concern for us. Next man up, sure. But that doesn't mean it's going to work out for us. What we need to do now is cross our fingers.

Unfortunately, it has to be next man up. There is almost no choice here. Trades are unlikely, and there's very few quality veterans that would likely be available before the start of the season, even with roster cuts.

Injuries just happen. You can't plan for them, even when you try to load a position with depth. You just deal with them as they happen.

The good news is, should Washington and Webb both be able to return at different points in the year, there is at least one starter that we fans know is capable in this system. The rest are all question marks because, frankly, we haven't seen them in this system so we don't know how they'll fare.

If we're lucky, we'll have another surprise like Lardarius Webb in the form of K.J. Gerard or Prince Miller. Ready or not, it's sink or swim and there's plenty of time for them to learn how to swim.

I think we need to do some trading right away. This group of corners cannot get it done for us. Walt Harris couldn't even pass a conditioning test. He'll be the next to suffer a torn ACL. Travis Fisher?? When has he been serviceable?? And we have a bunch of young players, but I don't get the feeling they're up to the task this year of being against number 2 and 3 recievers.
