If you're planning on sending your broken PS3 in for repair, unlikely you can get it out without taking it apart because it's a slot-loading drive. Once you take it apart, they may not repair it.

If you're sending it in for repair, just note that you have a disc in the drive and they'll take it out for you (even though they should know to check the drive anyway...)

Turn off the console, unplug all the connections including the video and the power. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Hook everything back up, boot your system up again, and then hold down the eject button. If that doesn't work, power down then boot up and repeatedly press the eject button. If that still doesn't work, you'll need to send it in for repair.

If it's under warranty, the repair is free. If not, then it's something like $150 for PS3 Slims and $119 for older PS3s. In some cases, they may just give you a new (or refurbished) console entirely if they can't repair it or don't feel like it.

I'll warn you that, if you're sending your system in for repair, back up all of your data to an external hard drive (formatted as FAT32) before you do so, as you run the risk of losing all your data, even if it's just the drive.

Like Franchise said, try and do a force eject. Hold the eject button for 10 seconds to force the system's drive to eject.

If that doesn't work you can also try a hard reset. Just hold the power button for more than 10 seconds (or until you hear the 3rd beep). Sometimes this fixes any issues you might have going on.

I recently had to retrieve I disc from a out of warranty PS3 of a buddy of mine. I had to Manually take apart the blu ray drive just to get the damned thing out. You think they would have a emergency eject Pin hole like the xbox 360 has.
