Weird as it sounds, that actually seems somewhat feasible. Strange, but feasible.

If you're in a house you're not familiar with and there's no lights whatsoever, intoxicated or not, you can fall down a flight of steps. Now, two flights seems outrageous, but depending on how the house is built...well, you never know.
yes it is possible and if they have those stairs that go up then a little landing then another set it is very possible,

Maybe his friend just lives at Hogwarts. Those stupid staircases are always changing. Clearly a health hazard.

Just received a Text message update from 105.7 the fan stating that Kindle is not allowed to travel to Baltimore for at least 3 weeks. This isn't good.

Here's extra confirmation.(Link)

Glad he's recovering well. Missing most, if not all of training camp is a major blow to his chances of making an impact this season though.

Normal people and proffessional athletes do not fall 2 flights of stairs!
There is something else to this story but knowone is talking and that's the problem!

this..

I was actually thinking that same thing... people are just assuming that the stairs go down a little bit, and then turn into a different direction

for all we know it could have been 2 flights of straight away stairs... or it could have been a spiral stair case with a landing in between

either way idc who you are... you probably aren't going to stop til the stairs do (i.e hit the floor)

Well, I guess we can take some solace in the fact that he was just JJs backup. Way to whiff on your first overall pick though.

How have they whiffed?

How could Ozzie be so foolish as to overlook Kindle's weakness of stairs?!

I've had a fractured skull before. Depending on how bad, It's not as bad as one thinks. I had to stop playing football for 6 weeks, in HS. I guess I've fully recovered... LOL, Ive always been a little crazy. Then again NFL football is much different. i think Sergio will be fine. Too bad this happened though! Lets hope he doesn't have the (Dan)Cody Curse.

I'm also a sleepwalker/talker and it's more prone for me to do it in a strange place ( ie hotel or friends house, etc) . So, that I can somewhat believe. I walked off a top bunk before. no kidding.

This sucks. I was really hoping he'd have a chance to light it up on 3rd down early on.
He could still provide some heat off the edge but it probably won't happen till later in the season.

That's enough, the Combine needs to incorporate a stairs test. Teams just need to know this information before drafting.

Well now it's Barnes' time to shine. Let's see what he's got.
I'm hoping Jameel can show his stuff too. He didn't look good as an ILB last season but had his moments rushing the QB as a rookie in '08.

Ummmm....impact? This season? How about maybe never..

You guys are talking like he HAD a contract...unfortunately he didn't..now chances are very high he doesn't get sgned...we've seen owners pass over people for less..

The only thing he has going for.him is that he was a 2nd rounder...and no team wants to just get rid of a high pick like that..

Unfortunately for kindle..his contract will be nowhere near what he could've got a couple days ago. But what's most important is his health...so let's pray for that.

Maybe this will make these diva rookies think twice before holding out for these contracts..

I realize things can change, but Harbaugh has said that the injury will not affect signing. Chill bro.

And as far as holding out, with the threat of a lockout I think it makes sense to try and get as much money up front as possible. Rookie contracts are way too high as is, but given certain circumstances I think the time it has taken to get him signed is more understandable. The kid wants to play and probably would have signed this week anyway.

But if it did, do you really think Harbuagh would say "This injury is making us question giving this kid a contract".

Ofcourse he's going to say it's not going to impact. Then if it does impact it, he'll say "well we took all the information into consideration, etc".

Kindle was "Suppose" to be signing his contract sometime this week to get him into training camp. I doubt that is happening, so in all honesty, it has already affected his contract.

Yeah that could happen, but to say that currently "chances are high" that we wont sign him has no evidence behind it.

I agree that part is a little far-fetched.

An injury is not goign to affect how much Kindle will make when he does sign, there is a thing called a "rookie pay scale" that people have been up in arms about that slots his general pay based on where he was drafted.

And I certainly hope you're not assuming that Kindle and Cody (at least before today hadn't) are "diva rookies" because they haven't agreed to contracts yet. In case you missed it, there are literally 3 or 4 rookies signed in the entire league that were drafted ahead of Sergio.

Now as far as this thread goes, I was extremely disappointed to see this reported on ESPN yesterday, and the updates today are no more encouraging as far as being in camp. At the very least, Sergio should be fine and if he should happen to read this thread during his recovery period, we all wish you just that, a speedy recovery so you can get back on the field and help us out my friend. Don't worry, true fans know you have more going for you than status as a 2nd round pick. Can't wait to see you on the field in the future.

Guess Kindle isn't taking the right "Step" to becoming an NFL Player....

Ok, thats messed up. I seriously hope he is alright and I can't wait for more information to come out on this. Im glad he is ok.

I wouldn't say our "Super Bowl Dream Season" is unraveling but Fabe, Webb, Reed and Kindle are now question for start of season and training camp/pre season hasn't even claimed victims yet.

From a human perspective, I sincerely hope that Sergio recovers fully, quickly with no lasting effects from the fall.

As a Ravens' fan I would carefully consider the structure of his contract. This isn't the first time that Sergio has had incidents under mysterious circumstances. He may not be able to play safely this year with such serious head trauma. If that's the case, now is the time to address it in the contract. Based on his history, he shouldn't have a very strong negotiating position. I'm not talking about trying to low ball him for the total value of his slot; just put more on the back end than the front.

That is a good point.

Next man up.

Doubt that he will see much playing time this season as he will miss the entire training camp.

People are freaking out over a guy falling down some stairs in the dark late at night. I'm glad some of these people on this board aren't gm's because people would be getting cut after stubbing their toes.

Next point. Kindle is a rookie. Our team was not dependent on a rookie. We have Suggs back in shape. Antwan Barnes showed a lot of promise last year. Our team is not doomed. Hope this kid takes his time back and get healthy. Concussions are no joke.
