Same here I just vetoed it, I can't believe anyone would propose that trade, Rivers is better than Joe and Jacobs is better than Fred Jackson. I can't believe that person wants Joe Flacco that badly.

Interesting. Jackson has no holes to run through since Buffalo refuses to get offensive line help Jacobs has much better value since the Giants have a good offensive line.

Oh by the way guys I figured out how to change the team name so now it will be much easier to know who I am since I changed it to Team JO_75. Just wanted to let you guys know.

I meant a real team, as in if I was a GM. If not in yardage, Jacobs will more than likely outproduce Jackson in TDs.

Jackson did break 1,000 yards last year, unlike Jacobs. And Rivers lost his #1 receiver for at least 3 games. The trade isn't exactly equal, but it sounds like you guys are making it a bigger deal than it is.

I think you need to assess the trade over time because when a trade gets vetoed, you use up one of your three. Main reason why I might bump the limit up.

I think it should be like 10 trades, the way the first days are going, god knows wow wavers and trades will be like during preseaosn, training camp, if injuries, or suspensions happen.

Yes ed.s52, it's kind of unfair since it's the majority that makes the decisions, not me.

I don't know about ten. I think teams need to stick with what they have when the season starts. Teams will start to get crazy once they lose one matchup. Trust me.

The people who vetoed it, so in otehr terms we the people who voted to make it not count? So really those vetoed it are to blame for you losing a trade.

Screw you all! Lol, jk. I like the fact that the veto system exists even if it isnt working in my benefit right now, and even though I think based on previous precedent (V-Jax for Bryant) it seems fair enough to me, my opinion shouldn't be the determining factor.

i just think that i shouldn't lose the trade without at least getting some player compensation. I mean losing a trade without any change kinda sucks.

Usually V Jax would be worth more, but with his possible holdout until Week 10 and his 3 game suspension, his value decreased immensly and I had two choices either Hines Ward(steeler, yuck) or Antonio Bryant. I'd rather take a young WR who also has knee problem, but he defintely can make an impact as a #3 WR. {Plus Hines will get covered more.

So the trade was actually fair.

You have a good point. It's not fair. That's why I'm thinking of implementing a 5 trade system, maybe even more, because you shouldn't lose one if you're vetoed. But that's not me, that's ESPN.

I agree. Jackson to start a real team. But in terms of 2010 fantasy production it'll be Jacobs for the mere fact that the Bills have no idea what they are doing.

I don't care what the limit is as long as we have the veto system in place. We have a couple of newbies to FF, and I don't want to see teams take advantage of this.

If we do go limitless be prepared to listen to trade offers everyday from Wacko.

5-3, 5 no, 3 yes. Meaning the trade wouldn't happen.

Rivers also loses V-Jax, and no one is thinking of that. Also, say he loses maybe 200 yards from not having V-Jax, he would be at about 4000, which is what Flacco will be at (both would then get about 4000 yards). He also may lose McNeil which will result in more sacks and pressure.

Flacco is rated at like 75, Rivers like 35.

Antonio Bryant is like 95-105, V-Jax is like 55. That means in rankings, it is either the same difference, or slightly more.


F. Jackson broke 1,000 yards last year even with Lynch in his face (who might not even stay in Buffalo this year), and no O-Line. Spiller probably won't even be given many downs, he will be a 3rd down back at the most. So there is a good chance he breaks 1000 yards again because they have no passing game.

As for Brandon Jacobs, he is injury prone and disappointed everyone last season. Not to mention Ahmad Bradshaw is in his face.


I'm not saying I would take Flacco/Jackson over Rivers/Jacobs, but it is closer than people think. Not that it matters cause the vote is it will be vetoed. Just ranting.


EDIT: Just because some are new to FF doesnt mean they shouldnt have common football sense assuming they follow football. This is my first year doin FF, and I have already had 2 genius trades which were vetoed, and have a pretty strong team. Newbies shouldn't automaticly suck imo, unless they aren't big football people.

Anyway my mom wants to know if your decisions are final, because she is going out tomarow to get groceries, and if any of you change yor minds then she'd like to know so she can get cookie and brownie mix.

Right now its only me and my 5 year old brother who are comming to the party. All my school friends declined and then all of you declined. So if you are comming, I'd be very happy, so im not alone with my brother.

Solid points ed.s52. But ask any normal Fantasy Football player who'd they take between Flacco or Rivers, and I think you know what the outcome will be. Everything you said will probably be the same when the season ends, but like I said earlier, the NFL is so year to year. I'm actually really happy you guys like to "vetoe" idea. I'm also happy I don't have any bad seeds so far blaming me for a trade not happening lol.
