dis-regard the message I created a espn regular league and didn't realize I needed to create a custom for me to change settings. I'm re doing it now and the password will be the same.

I plan on letting in 12 people in so first come first serve, and the Draft Date is Sun Aug 22nd, at 10:30PM.

Edit: Is everybody ok with a 13 week Regular season, where 14-17 will be the playoffs. I say 13 because that will allow 4 people into the playoffs and if I chose anything between 14-17 it would only let in 2 teams, so I figured I would put it at 13 so there can be 4 teams, the 2 division champs and runner up in the divisions.

Also my Trade Limit is... 5. Also the votes required to veto a trade is 7, due to the league being 12 people, this sets it up to where majority rules. Trade Review period is 3 Days.
Sounds good to me.

For those who want to join, here is the link: http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/tools/join?leagueId=252997

the password is joeflacco.

I'll update this thread with the specifics of this league. It's only 12 teams so first come first serve.

No. The best thing to look at with defenses are matchups. Look at whoever is playing the Rams or whoever the bad teams are. Matchups are key with defenses.
exactly. Which is why 49ers is a good defense. Defenses are kind of lucky if you get a good one. The top defenses are different every year so its never good to invest early on them

On the other note, Dolphins have a solid defense. Stuff the run well and have young cb's. They could be a decent defense anyway.

And after I called dibs on Rodgers too. =P
Trust me it wasn't because you called dibs. I felt bad for taking him, but I was trying to use a pure BPA strategy during this draft. And Rodgers was that guy.

If you guys dont want to be friends, thats ok, but its not fair nor funny to laugh at me or make jokes about a party that I really wanted to happen.
Wacko I'm your friend. But friends rag on each other, that's what they do. Feel free to make me the joke at anytime.

Haha, I know man. I would have been absolutely shocked if people actually let Rodgers slide to me anyways. I ended up with Schaub so I'm more than happy with my quarterback situation, I can live with Eli Manning playing one week.

It looks like the trades will stay the same. The third person to vote for "Yes" PM'd me and said that he misunderstood the poll at first. So it's safe to say that I can make my decision based off the 6-2 majority vote. Sorry Wacko.

Also, I don't mean to be the bad guy, but I hope that even if some of you in this league join JO_75's league, stay active in this one EVEN if you start to have a bad season. Please don't go 0-3 then turn your attention to the other league and completely give up on this one. Just out of respect for those who are playing in this league and not the other this year.

PuRock, do you have a verdict?

Psh, I've never once "quit" a league and I don't intend my first to be one from these fine boards.

That... and I'm in it to win it.

Give up? In words of Ochocinco.... Child Please. :P I of course will stay active in both.
I finally watched the first episode of his show last night. It was either that, or spend the night with my buddies.

I can't believe I chose the show. It's addicting yet stupid. I used to like him, but now he just gets on my nerves. I have no idea how he can balance everything out with his Dancing With The Stars, to this show, to staying so active on Twitter then showing up for TC. It seems as if the Bengals are last on his list...

I keep flip flopping on the trade. It's a good trade.

I was waiting on someone's thought on the trade, but I haven't heard back from them.

I'm just asking because we have to go through the painful process of having everyone vote lol. I am pretty proud of myself for sending you a fair/fine trade.

I think the vote would be fine if we let this one go. Let's do it.

It's hard to trade people. Because it's hard to give up something good to get something good. Nobody wants to do that.

Half the trades that are made are just bad propositions. Ofcourse there's always the times where one team is just hosing another team due to lack of experience *ahem*

Wow crazy trade guys. Purock is going to be stacked at receivers now but probably weak at rb because you traded away your two best rbs. But overall I think both of you are in better situations than you were in before.

Well I have a decent deep running back core which I can play based on matchups. Moreno, McCoy, Cadillac, Bradshaw and Bush. It's not strong but I have faith they'll shine through and one of these guys will step up.

I did solve my weak WR problem. So that wouldn't be an issue.

Romo had a strong WR core and he just strengthened his RBs. So he is a really balanced team.

I have Moreno slightly better than Brown. So I'm like trading away #1 & #2b. I'll still have #2a and add a #1 WR.

And if either Nicks or Crabtree really start playing well. I can look into trading one for a better RB.

Well I'm just not a big fan of Moreno, McCoy or Cadillac. None have a real good yards per average carry. But they will get their touches. So you can mix and match depending on the matchup which isn't a bad situation to be in. And now your good at receiver.

Only problem with Romo is Cutler and his qb situation. I think Martz will be good, but that Chicago team has a terrible o line and will struggle to keep him upright. Not only that, the weapons in Chicago aren't that good. And Cutler is an idiot and makes bad decisions. Tough to rely on a guy like Cutler. I think he will be better than last year, but not amazing.

McCoy's numbers should vastly improve this season with Westbrook gone, and McCoy seeing the majority of the carries (I don't see Mike Bell being a huge threat to him). Moreno put up good numbers for his rookie year (nearly 1000 yards and 7 touchdowns), and I can only see him improving this year. So by that train of thought, neither of those two men is a bad selection at all, they're just flying under the radar.

I don't see why anyone would veto the trade. It's a fair trade IMO. We're both taking care of our weaknesses. Unless of course the people that vetoed it want Calvin :th_327321_Spy_23x22:

And since INT's do not deduct points... Cutler shouldn't be too bad this season.
Good point, so a young QB like Alex Smtih actually has better value now.
