Keith Bulluck Joins The New York Giants

16 posts in this topic

Apparently, Bulluck signed a one year deal with the Giants today, who are thinking of moving him from the outside to the inside to replace Pierce. Not sure what I think of the pick-up, although I'm not keen on switching him to the inside. My initial thought was "Did Bulluck get confused with the two New York teams?"

Yeah, Keith in his older (notice I said older lol) age is getting feeble minded. He thinks the Giants have Rex Ryan and a bandwagon fan base. Granted, the Jets had a stable fan base before Ryan, but how many people do you know that like the Jets just because they barely made it to the playoffs last year and are overrated. What a rude awakening Bulluck will have when he finally realizes....

Giants: Hey Keith, how would you like to join New York this year???

Bulluck: Hey, I'd be glad to! We're gonna take it all the way to the Super Bowl this year!

Giants: Yeah, what do you think about our offseason additions?

Bulluck: Man, that move for L.T. was sweet! Oh, and lets not forget about Cromartie. He's gonna help you all, I mean 'us', immensely. I bet coach will have us blitzing like we're firemen trying to get a burning house to quit smoking.

Giants: 'cough' we're not the Jets 'cough'

Bulluck: Umm, what was that??

Giants: Oh nevermind Keith, you'll find out soon enough :bricks:

But in reality, this makes the Giants a tad bit better. I mean, they did need an experienced vet who is battle tested and who won't give up to help that front 7 get to where they were in 2007 when they beat the Patsies. Good move in my book.

I'm guessing that since the Giants couldn't get Rolando McClain or another ILB they are just going to move Bullock inside from the Outside. This is a good signing by the Giants, though I do wonder why they didn't try to go after Kirk Morrison who is younger. Certainly I do question JPP over Derrick Morgan but with the Giants stacked at DE I guess instead of JPP playing right away he'll have chance to develop. I always thought that it wasn't the big signing you make in March, that sometimes it's the small signing that is over looked that helps you the most in the season, Darren Sharper signing with the Saints last year proved that, I think Bullock will prove that with the Giants this year.

The titans have lost Haynesowrth, Vanden Bosch and Bullock in the span of almost a year and a half.

Its because the Titans are cheapskates. They play their players hard and expect heart and guts on the field, but when it comes to pay day, they just won't open the check book. Ask Chris Johnson. I bet he'll tell you the same exact thing. Thats another thing I respect out of the Raven organization. They may not always have the most flashy players, but they train them up to be a great unit, and they also pay them big when it comes time to do so.

I always thought Bulluck would end up with the Ravens at least once in his career. It was just something about him. He was underrated throughout his career. But he fits perfectly with the Giants.

He isbetter chance of playing outside LB. Him and Boley in the outside wouldn't be bad starting OLB's. Im interetsed in how they will use JPP. they have Osi, Kiwanuka, Tuck and now JPP.

Sucks to be Titans...I wonder where Kevin Mawae will go.

I think in a conference with most of the good to elite teams, it would be a remarkable job of Fisher and his team to make the playoffs this season with all those veterans now gone, but it would take probably another MVP like season out of Johnson, a pro bowl worthy season outta Young, and his WRs would need to step up big time. And When I say remarkable job of Fisher, I mean coach of the year type job.

I mean don't get me wrong, they still have Finnegan and Tony Brown, but still that defense is looking softer and softer.

I agree with that. Titans are going to be missing a lot of veteran leadership. As soon as the season ended I thought they would be a surprise team next year. But without Bullock, Vanden Bosh, and Mawae, it is going to be tough for them to play at the level that they were last year. Young obviously can't be a stable leader.

And lets not forget; Bulluck was about the only Titans defensive player that was actually trying to play in the New England game, and him, Fisher, and Vanden Bosch were most likely the ones who scolded the team for how they were playing. Johnson is excellent, but he's still young. And Vince Young, he's up and down. Lets not forget that Kerry Collins had to step in for him when Young was having a bout with his mindset. Without the veteran leadership they had last year in the locker room, I'm not sure that they would've won a game. They were that bad. And also, what happens when Johnson gets tired of his contract issues and starts complaining next offseason?? What happens if Young starts getting bad thoughts again?? There will be no one around except Fisher to right the ship.

Yep, that is crazy, their big time players on defense all gone. Now they replaced them with:

- Tony Brown(DT)
- Will Witherspoon(OLB)
- Derrick Morgan(DE Rookie)

The Titans defense has gone through a rebuilding phase of it's own.

Damn I just realzied, with Bulluck, Giants defense canbe good. Giants D is a good fantasy pick.

Antrel Rolle, deon Grant, Kenny Philips, Corey Webster covering recievers. Then you have Boley, Bulluck, Osi, Tuck apply pressure, then you have rookie JPP and the Mathias Kiwanuka guy. That D will be SICK!

I don't think it's a guarantee they will go back to being a good D. Even with the additions of Rolle, Bulluck and JP-P, I could still see the G-Men struggling defensively.

I agree. They are an upper middle-of-the-pack defense, at best. Meanwhile the Titans, well the Titans are obviously in a rebuilding stage whether it is by an effort to become younger, or just because they are cheap, they are losing key pieces of a ferocious defense.
