I feel for the Cowher family. I hope never to know the pain of losing a spouse myself, but I've seen that hardship up close many times and it definitely takes its toll. From all indications, Bill truly loved his wife and presumably gave up coaching to be with her and to be near his daughters. As much as we hated him for coaching the enemy, we always respected him and he always seemed like a classy individual off the field. Irrespective of anyone's perception of him, no one deserves this kind of hurt. Condolences to their entire family and I hope they pull through.

At this time I offer a silent prayer for Kaye Cowher and for her family and friends.

I also mention the cancer slogan that won a contest many years ago to promote cancer research: "Arrest Cancer! It's wanted for murder!"

I read alot about how these 2 were always there for eachother he never made bad jokes about his wife on camera like alot of anaylsts now days do and that shows the love he had for her. My heart and prayers go out to him as he deals with this loss and I hope his daughters understand if he seem unconsolable its just a fact when 2 in 1 is now only 1 it tears from what is remaining but I hope he always carries her fond memmories they shared together and keeps it as strength in what ever he does. Coach Cowher please take time to grieve but never forget her as the supporting loving wife she was, let the fondness of those days together always bring you comfort.
