FYI - you didn't make the change that you noted. Also, why would adding Ngata somewhere on your list give McCrary the boot when you have him as #6?

Come on bro! Give me a break on the numerology... when I was dumb enough to miss Jonathan Ogden, that deserved a much bigger rebuke! In any event here is my re-revised list...
Add Ngata at number 4 and JO at 2 and I will keep McCrary and dump Stover - sigh!

Nope I agree with Dilfer. I was thinking about putting him on my list too
can't agree with adding Dilfer to any list. Defense won us the Super Bowl. Dilfer just managed the game as the coach instructed him to do.

Yeah, but you better be able to defend it. Jermaine over JO? SAM KOCH??? Explain yourself.

it was off the top of my head. I didnt put a great deal of thought into it.
That said, I have defended Jermaine else where in this thread, I stand by my descision that he is somewhere on my list of greatest Ravens ever.

Koch, that man is unbelievebly consistent. No, not perfect, but he drops SO many punts right between the ten and the endzone. Credit due, no doubt.

JO yeah he needs to be on the list. Quite frankly keeping the list to just ten is going to bring disagreements no matter what.

Obviously...

You guys should make it interesting and limit the list to players drafted by the Ravens. Most folks think of Woodson as a Steeler, Sharpe as Bronco and Mason as a Titan (as well as McNair).

Yeah, but look at where the Ravens were BEFORE Billick put Dilfer in. The defense that year was the BIGGEST factor, but not the only factor, Dilfer was one of the other factors and the Ravens may not have even made the playoffs that year let alone winning the Super Bowl if Tony Banks was the starter for the entire season.

Because in the end he is not the one battling to put the team in position to score points, like everyone on the offense and defense do. He kicks a ball end of story.

Where is your list?
You are right, he didnt battle for field position. You are right about him only kicking balls too. However those things called Kickoffs, they dont have anything to do with field position?? Get Real! Secondly, without Matt Stovers foot, we never would have made it to the Super Bowl. There were stretches of games in that season where Stover was putting up our only offensive points.

1a.) Ray Lewis - Anyone who says otherwise instantly loses credibility.
1b.) Jonathan Ogden - Would you rather JO still be playing and Ray Lewis to have retired? (Didn't think so)
3.) Ed Reed - Obvious.
4.) Matt Stover - If you can argue any other person deserving of being here other than Stover, I can argue that Bob Marley was a white British woman.
5.) Jamal Lewis - 2000 yards? Um, I rest my case.
6.) Todd Heap - Heeeeeeaaaaap!!!
7.) Michael McCrary - relentless motor...young ravens fan do your research.
8.) Peter Boulware - 70 sacks...young ravens fan do your research.
9.) Chris McAlister - Shutdown Corner year in and year out.
10.) Shannon Sharpe - was only a Raven for 2 years. How anyone can put him above Heap is shocking. Granted, Sharpe was one of the best to ever do it...
